SDC Skimmer with RSPDX (SDRUno)

Hello,

I already read, that the SDC skimmer works with the RSPDX. I need a detailed installation guide because I don't understand how all the different sub function of SDC work together.

Can someone help?

Hello Lars,

Need to be confirm but :

• SDC CWskimmer can works with an audio stream from RSPDX or other source but the bandpass is very limited (Audio limitation with about 3Khz)
• RTTYskimmer is not able to works with an audio stream

The best way should be an API for an IQ streaming like available on Flexradio.

Yes Christian but how ? I have and RSP1A, I tried to setup an sdc skimmer just for test in cw, but the server complain the missing of a tci client (which I cannot have) and don't start at all. Same in rtty or any other modes.

The only two options I can choose are audio+tci and tci only, there are others in the dropdown box like audio+rigsomething but I cannot choose them. 

I would avoid to use a tci module but seems I cannot.

Do you have other suggestions ?

You gave us a big input. Finally I saw something working. 

I have a problem with IQ output from Sdruno, the output is not stable, the signal goes up and down. I observed this in some different contexts and different machines. .

Problem solved using Sdruno Digital output instead, the skimmer works very well.

Tried almost any combinations, Chris. The output is jumping up and down. But no problem, using the digital mode solve this problem. I mean digital mode over vac in output from Sdruno and IQ over vac in input to SDC. Last weekend I set up a test spider linked with SDC as RBN node saw the skimmer spots.  Very fine.

Christian, thanks for the great documentation!
I would like to add one nuance.
Windows devices and VAC cables are used to transfer the IQ stream from the receiver to the skimmer.
It is desirable that the data parameters be maintained along the entire route of the IQ stream. Otherwise, the operating system may run the resampling program, which may lead to phantom stations.
I advise both in the properties of sound devices and in the properties of cables to specify the maximum possible stream quality, for example, 192 kHz and 24 bits.
