Hi,
I am trying to update the salt-minion on amazon 2 linux. Even after updating repository to 3007 the salt minion is not updating. Even if the available repository is available 3007, minion not updating.

Under available packages also salt-minion not showing. Attaching screenshot for reference.
Can anyone help on this.

Thanks
Jhalsa

Have you tried downloading the RPM and applying that?

I mirror all the RPM's locally and wget them to clients, when I'm ready to upgrade, I have them on hand in /opt/saltstack/rpms/ I've stopped having a repo file present 2 years ago and it's worked well do it locally.

i mean without more infor all we can do is guess. can you paste your salt yum repos files?
also use just yum list | grep salt don’t include the available part. by listing available it won’t show installed. right now it looks like the salt-minion is updated to 3007.1 already without ore info.

Narrowing down Thomas's post:

yum list installed | grep salt...

Might be better....

I disagree. removing the filter entirely means we know what its status is no matter if it is "installed", "available", "updated", "not installed", "missing", "obsoleted", or "old" any of which the package could be.
we can also get rid of the grep

`yum list salt\*`
