Hi

I was trying to update rundeck today, but I got an error

"Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'rundeck':
  - Curl error (60): Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates for https://packages.rundeck.com/pagerduty/rundeck/rpm_any/rpm_any/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml [SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate]
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'rundeck': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried"

OS: RHEL 8.7

Does anybody had this error before ?
I have checked a repo file and compared with offered by rundeck and they are the same

Thank you

we have the same issue in Ubuntu (20.04) can't list anything in rundeck repository (but from Mac laptops it works).
Tried updating cacerts and related packages but nothing works even curl is failing with url: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

Just got to the "https://packages.rundeck.com/pagerduty/rundeck/" and use a wrapper to generate your repository definition

In /etc/yum.repos.d/rundeck.repo, I changed sslverify=1 to sslverify=0. Then it worked for me.

sure, up to you, but

sslverify

boolean

When enabled, remote SSL certificates are verified. If the client can not be authenticated, connecting fails and the repository is not used any further. If False, SSL connections can be used, but certificates are not verified. Default is True.

on my system, it seemed to be either that or disable the rundeck repo altogether, since it prevented updates from all the other repos. Is there a new rundeck.repo file for RHEL somewhere?

It appears that the issue has been resolved. I was able re-enable sslverify this morning, and it worked. I hadn't intended on leaving it disabled permanently, but yesterday I needed to get past it to retrieve a list of updates from all my other repos.

That link gives me a message that it doesn't exist.
At any rate, the sslverify=1 [1=true on my system] was working this morning.
