On a previously working install of RS on AWS/Bitnami, I cleared out some files to open up some drive space and after doing so I'm now getting this error after upload:

103 Failed to move uploaded file my filestore folder seems to have all correct permissions and chmod settings (0777). I did recently experience some problems with MySQL on this server but a complete hard reboot through the Bitnami console seemed to solve all those and I can now access the database without any errors or issues.

Any suggestions here?? I'm at a loss.

Did you ever get an answer, Chris?  I am also experiencing the same problem, but the official ResourceSpace channels just points me back to this group...

kind regards

No..I didn't. My error eventually went away after I cleared off some additional space.

My guess is you were out of disk space?

More is needed than it may seem as ResourceSpace constructs the file from 'chunks' during upload before moving it elsewhere.

Same problem here. We have enough space, filestore is reachable... It occurs, when we upload several files at once - ony the first one (pdf) is uploaded, the others (jpg) not. Several jpg files without a pdf work as grouped upload.
The last change to the whole server occured yesterday - RS was not working anymore, because of missed files in php 7.0 (reason unkown), the inhouse support switched to php 7.2. afterwards (apache settings) and now RS is running again. Perphaps the problems are connected, since it's new since the php switching?

Offtopic: Why there is no edit function of own postings, It is very unhandy to correct typos or unclear explanations here.

I can only guess, why nobody is answering here from the RS devs, perhaps error 103 always means simple configuration problems on server side and it's an server admins's case. But then a clearer error message would be very much appreciated - e.g. by me ;)

Anyway, in my case it was an unexpected upgrade from php5 to php 7.2, that should not have run automatically. And I did not see the changes in RS for an unknown reasons. After copying the files from the same release over the installation again (not so fine, but worked), I saw warnings about php post size, upload size e.g.). Readjusting the new php.ini from 7.2. helped then.

Greetings, Karsten

Hey all, i found this thread helpful when I encountered a similar issue. It started after I had changed PHP versions to 7.2-fpm. Fixed it by increasing post_max_size, which was changed because of the different conf file setup for FPM vs. apache2 mod_php.

So, try checking your post_max_size!
