hi
I have uploaded the community version of red5 in my server under this own folder
I have set all url for a video conferencing plug in
except for the RTMP address that don1t seem to be recognized
I put the IP address of my server the root folder of my file and /red5  to the red5 folder
is it any file that I have to add to the link what is the appropriate URL
for a proper RTMP address
rtmp://ipadress/root folder/htmlpublic/red5/

sorry if it seem ignorant of technical issue if you could explain it as simple as possible

It should be more like this:

rtmp://ip:RTMPport[1935]/applicationName

Doublecheck your firewall is set up correctly, so you can bypass the rmpt port (look at red5.properties for the port config)

HI

Welcome to red5 community !!

Once you have downloaded and extracted the red5 archive,

1. Run red5.bat or red5.sh based in your os type

2. After red5 startup in complete, visit the URL http://yourserver:5080

3. If you see the red5 welcome page then your red5 is running correctly

4. To connect to it via flash or other types of encoders use the URL :
rtmp://yourserver:1935/live

Where live is a default red5 app and yourserver implies the hostname or IP of your red5 server.

I have tried but the reply was
"NetConnection.Connect.Failed"

I did enter  

any other suggestion ?

ps I did  test the red5 and it did open the confirmation page that it was install in the server

no, for what I see on the image you using a videowhisper script. you need to go back to the videowhisper site, and download the app for the red5:
http://videowhisper.com/download.php
depending on the red5 version you need to download the zipped file, for the red5 1.0.5 then use the file
http://videowhisper.com/downloads/videowhisper_red5-1_0_5.zip
unzip and upload to red5/webapps and then restart the red5.

then the rtmp you enter on the settings will be
rtmp://31.220.17.26/videowhisper

hi I did tried with live rtmp://31.220.17.26:1935/live  
 it did not work any other suggestion ?

you sure the red5 is working? http://31.220.17.26:5080 is not loading.
when ever the red5 is working the rtmp for a videowhisper script is
rtmp://server_IP/videowhisper

hi thank a lot for your support
i have follow all the step hosting marketer told me re-install the red5 version 1.0.5 and went to the wisper site to download the rest
but to install i went on to

http://www.wildbuss.ml/red5/webapps/installer/installer.swf

which is the url to reach the install file i guess is the correct one but the screen appear see the attachemt but fail to connect
what should i do ?
i can read the index.html and it say it is install
any suggestion sorry about that i am slow on this one ...

Well if you are using a script with red5 you should contact their support directly. This goes a little outside standard red5 setup and usage.

you mean the videowisper team ? but some are that is just a WPplug in who request red5 to be install and that what i have a issue with install red5
i have send them a ticket but my opinon is that they gone send me back here telling me is a red5 issues but we never know let's give it a tried ....

I don't understand what is this installer? are you trying to install red5 with
http://www.wildbuss.ml/red5/webapps/installer/installer.swf ?
this is not the way at all. you have to install java 8 and then red5, search the net and you'll find some sites with instructions for that.
when it is installed and working and you can check by going  http://server_IP:50 , if this page loads red5 is working, then you ftp to the webapps folder the videowhisper app, then restart red5, and voilà, your videowhisper consultation will work after entering the rtmp on the settings.

you mean installing java 8 on my hosting i have it on my computeur ( Macbook pro)
but  do you mean upload it to my apache server in my hosting Cpanel in my file manager ? is that right ?
