Hello,

before the Christmas, we are trying to push out a 2.4.1 update release
that contains bugfixes, optimizations and cleanup. The most of the work
has already been merged in, but a single pull request still remains that
covers a lot:

The work done with this is to merge the core libraries into a single
Tundra DLL, as outlined here https://github.com/realXtend/naali/issues/199
. This is quite a large change, and therefore we are hoping comments on
this. If all goes well, the 2.4.1 release will be made with this
improvement, as it is profiled to reduce code duplication by a great deal.

I'm kind of uneasy about putting audio in the core. I think it should remain a module in event a platform or user uses a different audio library.

Audio has always been in core in sense that it has never been an optional module that could be omitted from the build. Also, support for different audio libraries does not exit currently. However, it is possible in the future to build Tundra with no (3D) audio support (i.e. OpenAL is omitted from the build) using the TUNDRA_NO_AUDIO define which makes the Audio API calls simply no-op.

Like was mentioned by Ali, Audio was already before in Tundra core. If
someone has an alternative implementation to OpenAL, moving it to a plugin
can be considered to allow support for alternate implementations.

TundraCore branch has now been merged to trunk, as well as the Android
build branch. There is now a new bug tracker label 'Android-specific' that
tracks various issues and missing features on that platform.
https://github.com/realXtend/naali/issues?direction=desc&labels=Android-specific&sort=updated&state=open

The 2.4.1 release will be hopefully ready next week.
