drive sprockets

While unhappily trying to design my sprocket for my tiger i had a brain storm. I was looking at the bike sprockets i was thinking of using when i thought, why not grind off every 2nd tooth (where have you heard that before huh? ). Now here is my spin on things, then i made up some ply disks and screwed the sprocket to the disk and then ran it through my router and hey presto,one drive cog! Not quite scale but close enough. A heck of a lot easier than drafting a cog

I can draw u the drive if let me know what ya need, the software for the waterjet makes them very ez

Hey grant how ta doin? Thanks for the offer mate but these sprockets came out at a tad over 5mm under size, close enough for this kid. And anyway I'm trying to get the build process to the point that we can do the whole build cause the son is building the next tank himself. When are we going see a M1 running mate?

Just read this thread, sounds like a pretty cool idea. Might try it. Any photos of your sprocket?

No photos yet, have been having a few alignment hassles as far as getting the center of the finished sprocket is concerned, but I think I have it now
