Hi everyone!  For those of you who donated to the last campaign, you've already been refunded and linked to this alternate campaign.  Due to Go Fund Me Policy that was the only recourse (Starting over).  Thank you kindly for considering to continue supporting this effort....it will be a real treat when we hit the finish line!  You can find additional details on the revised campaign page (linked below).  Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions....

Cheers!...and thanks for your patience!

Hey Alex, is there a reason why Paypal isn't listed as a means to pay?  Not a huge deal; but the original gofundme accepted paypal.

Thanks for setting it up,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Hmm, not sure. It could be because I haven't set up my banking info. I'm on vacation with the family this week but I'll be back in front of a computer on Monday. I'll investigate when I'm back.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Tom!
I only just got around to re-visiting this.  So long story short not-for-profits can accept paypal via Go Fund Me.  If it's a personal account, only credit and debit cards are accepted.

We're at $630 of $2k and Go Fund Me automatically starts to withdraw funds around 4/1 some I'm hoping we can regain some momentum.... (If not we will bag-it by the end of the month)

Just posted an update and hopefully a new post here will put this back on the groups radar.

Thanks everyone!

Hi all,
I made a donation and then posted it to Facebook with a description of
the campaign - a kind neighbor made a $25 donation. Just an anecdote
to counter what I used to think, which was "no one is going to donate
if I link to a GoFundMe page about a cause that's so far away." Not
true this time!

Thank, Alex.

Not only does this help a charity, but also the company I (we) love.  Two good causes in one.

Hi Everyone! I just posted an update to my personal Facebook page and shop page....went something like this: We're a wee bit shy of our goal of $2k by 4/1, do you have a few extra clams you can throw towards this most excellent effort? Imagine the joy and excitement this could bring to someone who would otherwise be prevented from such a simple pleasure (This tandem is being donated to a "Blind Stoker's Club" that allows visually impaired people to ride bikes!) Can we all share among our various social media platforms? We're so close!!

Owners Bunch is the Best Bunch!!! We swished through our goal right at the buzzer....nice! I'll be talking with Will at Riv HQ about next steps etc. I'm curious if they will have a preference on build parts. I know I have a NOS tandem crankset that needs a home along with a couple other ancillary parts I could throw at the project. Once I get Riv to weigh in I'll be back in touch with everyone. Cheers again!! Talk soon...

 New update!

Hey all! I passed along our initial withdrawal sent to us by Go Fund Me in the amount of $1750...I'll do the rest when they do their next (I think monthly) withdrawal. I talked with Will today and we went over a build list. If you have any of these items and you're willing to donate/ship them to Riv, please indicate your name etc on this Google spreadsheet linked here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1U3bY8-FZaXw7SIsJkg2fkQNCtCtAlxafP3xlrLh7VSM/edit?usp=sharing

I'll check this in a few days and see where we're at....thanks so much!

(I'm donating a tandem crankset)

Just in case some of you are following this thread as opposed to the other "Last Call for Parts" thread:

Hey All!  A heart felt thank you to everyone that donated something to our parts list....we put together a healthy little cache!  If you would be so kind, send your donation directly to Rivendell at the following address:

Rivendell Bicycle Works
C/O Will Keating, Hubbah BSC project
2040 N Main St #19
Walnut Creek, CA 94596

There is no particular rush so if you send your parts out within the next week via USPS that should be more than sufficient.

Thank you again to everyone that donated parts and money alike!  I will update everyone once we have the bike built, delivered and have a few rides in....

Cheers,

Alex

Hello All,
The last disbursement of $368.07 went to Riv today. Along with a healthy donation of parts, we are well positioned to start building when the Hubbahs land from Taiwan. I'll keep you posted as we get through the build & delivery...

Cheers!

Alex,
I was sorry to read of your closing up shop.  I really hope things are ok for you and your family, and wish you good luck.  Sounds like your engineering background will help you weather the upcoming months, as you seek out what your next "side" business model should look like.  God Speed!

Tom
