Not-so-surprising update on Lachlan's brutal ride:

From an interview, he claimed the constant rain was messing his feet up something fierce but it doesn't look like he's ready to give up on the sandal life just yet.

A few updates on LM's footwear:

The front straps on the Birkenstocks chafed so they were removed

A green pair is being used now, front straps removed (maybe these are a smaller pair)

A carbon sole has been implemented to allow optimum power transfer

Custom cut fabric swatches are placed at contact points to prevent chafing

Finishing up with 576km to Paris today. Unreal.
