Deore V-brake spring adjustment screw size?

I installed a pair of hand-me-down V brakes today and discovered that one tension screw was rounding out and the other did not, in point of fact, exist. 

The internet tells me these screws are cheap and common in Britain, but weirdly expensive in the U.S. Is it just a regular M3 x 8mm that I could pick up at the hardware store?

I took off a pair of Deore V brakes after unfortunately cracking the sleeves surrounding the linear springs trying to add more tension to the springs, but the screws are still in good condition. I use a JIS screwdriver so they don’t round out. I could send you the screws out of them if you pm me your address. I am in Socal.

No rush, of course. I rigged up the brake so it works well enough; I don't think it will cause my imminent demise. But it would be nice to have it tuned up right. I really appreciate it.

I measure one of my Deore brake sets, and it's M3.   8mm  of length would work, as far as my calipers can tell.
