Enjoy, it looks like a great bag.

I’ve been looking at that and the Acorn which is currently out of stock.

They are really nicely made bags, aren’t they? I really liked my xs saddle sack and used it for three years before I recently traded for a banana sax, for just a little more room to Fit jacket and gloves. Mine came with a flap to hold items inside in in case of a fall or to be able to overstuff the bag and keep contents secure. Are they still sold with that nice feature? I had planned to do the same idea with a bandana.

I use the Kevin’s bad, predecessor to the XS I believe.  I sold all of my banana bags and now find I need room for a camera and windbreaker.  Always well made.

Rivendell lists the dimensions as 7 x 9 x 5 but neglect to say if the 7 & 9 are width & depth.  At the end of the video, the on-the-bike shots it looks deeper / longer than wider, judging by the fit on the saddle.

Is the bag just a bit longer than wide?  Might be just what I need.

Doug

It is longest top to bottom.

So the 9" is from the back opening flap to the front end next to the seatpost?

And the 7" is width across the saddle?  Looks like it's roughly the same width as the saddle  My Brooks is just a smidgen less that 7" wide at its widest point.

Thanks for your help on this.

Yes   You understand it correctly. I took some pics. Mine is mounted and smushed. Still you’ll see the shape and rough dimensions. You can easily overstuff if needed.

Got it.  Thanks.  Just wanted to make sure it wasn't much wider than the saddle.  That looks like it'll work quite well.

On the Riv product page there is a clip showing what you can fit in a Bananasax

If you have Moose style bars they fit nicely in the triangulation, too.

Me too. So hard to really see sizes in photos but the comments here plus the video were compelling.  Is this what's called viral marketing?

Mine came a couple days ago and it is perfect. Works great on the front or back.

Jamin — That’s a very distinguished looking combination on the gunmetal Expedition. Nice!
