FS: 58 Sam Hillborne, dark orange

I bought it new from Riv as a 'complete' in July of 2017.  You can see Riv's spec's for the complete drop bar build here:

The only mod's I had done were to:

1. Replace the 48 Noodle that comes with a 58 with a 46, and wrap with black cork tape+twine

2.  Add a Pletscher kickstand.

I put the original Kenda 38mm tires back on it.  They have about 50 mi on them.

I just cleaned it up, and honestly, it looks brand new, except for a single very small 3mm scratch on the drive side seat stay, shown in one of the pic's.  No rust.  The paint and decals are pristine.

I have owned nearly a zillion bikes in the last 18 years, including an early orange Rambouillet. That and this one are two of the most aesthetically pleasing bikes in the estimation of my eyeballs.

True ... it is a great bike & color like no other.  I was planning on slapping some BG RnR's on it...but ended up with a "too big for me" (ha!) 64 Toyo Atlantis, on which I put a Ahearne+Map bar, some 2.1" Nanos, and now I have the coolest, best fitting 'tractor' around.  With a Roadini now in the stable, well, I just don't need another roadish bike.

Whoever gets this Sam will be a happy camper.  I should probably offer a deal on never-installed RnR's in hopes of seeing them on this bike!

Hey folks, I'm throwing in a pair of BG Rock n' Roads, blackwall, never mounted with this sale.  700x43.  $114 value.  This is in addition to the 38 Kendas that are currently mounted.  At one time I planned to put the RnRs on the Sam but ended up going in another direction.

Hey Peter,

I dbl checked and measured 85.6cm. That’s with the stock Alex DM18 rims, and the Kenda Qwik Tendril 38 tires pumped to 45lb. 

I noticed Riv’s geo chart for the 58 Sam lists stand over at 86.3. That must be with the max tire width of 44 or 45.
