Hi, looking into the news file I see,

rattle 5.0.5 Graham....@togaware.com 2017-02-15 07:22:43 Graham Williams

       * Update weatherAUS dataset.

       * Bug fix for sample XDF dataset - if smaller the
         crv$xdf_preview then load the whole dataset into memory.

       * ggVarImp now has n= option for the top n variables. Also
         supports xgb.Booster models from xgboost.

How the XCBoost package is triggered from Rattle?

Thanks, Carlos

Hi Carlos,

The Rattle GUI does not currently support xgboost - it is planned.

Nonetheless I added a dispatch to ggVarImp() to support xgboost models. This is useful if independently of Rattle you build an xgboost model and want to plot the variable importance with ggVarImp(model). Something I had cause to use recently.

Hopefully we will have xgboost supported in Rattle soon.

Regards,
Graham

Thanks Graham. I think XGBoost support into Rattle will be very welcome.
