Hello,

I have installed Rattle 4.0.5 along with R 3.2.3 on Red hat enterprise linux 5.4 /

Here is my Rattleinfo():

Rattle: version 4.0.5 CRAN 4.1.0
R: version 3.2.3 (2015-12-10)

Sysname: Linux
Release: 2.6.18-164.el5
Version: #1 SMP Tue Aug 18 15:51:48 EDT 2009

Installed Dependencies
cluster: version 2.0.3
foreign: version 0.8-66
Matrix: version 1.2-3
nnet: version 7.3-11 upgrade available 7.3-12
rpart: version 4.1-10
stringr: version 1.0.0
survival: version 2.38-3

That was 8 packages.

When i run rattle then i get the following error

rattle()
Error in as.GType(type) : Cannot convert RGtkBuilder to GType.

I have gtk2 and gtk2-devel installed.

Upgrading RHEL 5.4 to 6 is not an option as this is a Linux cluster.

Any way this problem can be solved ?

According to http://rattle.togaware.com/rattle-install-troubleshooting.html the likely problem is the use of an old version of gtk2. You may need to find an updated version of gtk2 that is compiled for RHEL 5.4
