More info on R-Node?

Hello

Where can I find more info on R-Node? The website (http://squirelove.net/r-node/) on the https://gitorious.org/r-node page is down.

Is this project still active? If not, are there any similar projects that you can recommend?

Hi Anton,

I wrote R-Node many years ago as a proof of concept that a web-based IDE for R could work. At the time I also used NodeJS in it's early forms for the server and what is now an early version of ExtJS.

This proved successful, but as it was a side project of limited use in my day job maintaining it as NodeJS and ExtJS evolved became difficult.

As such, I have the codebase as it was, but it won't work on any new system without some upgrade effort, something I don't have the time for at the moment.

I don't know of any similar project I'm afraid, although RStudio (http://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/#Server) has a web frontend apparently now. You could also see this Stack Overflow thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13705519/web-based-interpreter-for-language-r
