George Purcell born 1750-1762 died apr 1828 Leesburg Wash tenn

I am looking for any info on george purcell. born 1750-1762. i found will for him from wash tenn in apr 1829. he had allot of property as ten pages of items sold of his estate. he has two children elizabeth who married a william kennedy in wash tenn. and also a john purcell who was married to a mary mckillip/mccalep

 

Georges wife wa margaret she died the same yr also they were memebers of leesburg presb church in lees burg.

thank you have not heard about your george but there is a james purcell in franklin co tenn in 1820 maybe he is from there

Hi Ginger,

I know I may be a little late to the party here, but I am descended from John Percell. I did happen to find a record that George was a Reverend. And it appears as he is the only one with the Percell last name, and his parents and siblings appear to be Pursley. I'm not sure what information you have been able to find in the 3 years since this posting, but I thought I might chime in and see if I might be of some assistance?

myself and a nother researcher have searched dilagently to prove George parents. I thought all along that he was a presley and just changed his name slightly. there where presley who lived in the area than moved to Knoxville

 we have no proff of his parents or siblings...do you???it would be to know .thanks Ginger

I found documentation on Ancestry.com reflecting this. I can pull what I have. Is there an email address that I can send it to you? Or would you prefer on here? George was the only one to take the Persell last name. I know we are using 2 different spellings of the Persell name. I'm just used to the spelling from my more direct line (Hiram H. Persell).
