Morning Everyone, My panos I'm displaying on Facebook start up at 180 degrees opposite of the center of image now. I'm used to centering the equirectangular images to give a default view that my clients can count on. Any information on changes in Facebook or what I may be doing wrong on my end? Any assistance would be greatfully appreciated! Best Regards, Ben

Use Numerical Transfor from the Panorama Editor flyout menu (small arrow
top right). Set Yaw to 180° and click Apply to pan the whole image.

Facebook always makes changes without announcement, sometimes breaking
the whole 360° experience. F.e. there is still no zooming possible on
non-touch devices.

Hi Erik,

I do use the numeric translator and did this time. I rotate the image around to what I want as a starting point and make that the center of the image. I literally get a start point right now in Facebook that's a 180 degree opposite start point. Any ideas?

What happens if you rotate it such, that the starting point you want is
exactly at the 360° seam?

Hi Erik,

Thanks for you quick response. I've done that workaround and simply changed the yaw 180 degrees. My worry is that I'm doing something wrong or Facebook will change the equation somehow and the starting point will now be a blank wall or something. I've been doing this for 15 years now and honestly been out of touch since I'm doing a lot more weddings and portraiture. But I've always set the center of the image knowing that it will be the default starting point on really every platform I've used. I'm worried it's one of the settings on my end since I've been out of the loop for a few years. Any thoughts what timat might be?

Best Regards,

Ben

Hello Again Erki,

Problem solved.  I was getting some of the original metadata from the file (probably camera position) into the final file. Workflow is still a bit off but working on it. I noticed that FB also didn't correctly see where the bottom center of the image was when projecting it as well. Dropped it into EXIF Fixer and wiped all the metadata. Both issues now seem to be solved. Am I missing some way to wipe or correct this metadata issue in PTGui while working on the image there?

Best,

Ben
