Hi Slau, The Move Mouse program your friends wrote is fantastic. However, I would like to ask you a couple questions.
1,  What keyboard commands are you using in System Prefs to move the mouse in the 4 directions? Also, if I wanted to change the assigned key commands, do I just click the add shortcut button and type in a new 1? There is no confirmation message that the shortcut you typed in has been accepted.
2,  How do you check the location of the current position of the mouse so you can go back to it at a later date?
3,  Do you find that Move Mouse is %100 reliable?
Thanks again for all your help.

I believe I tested it with Command-Control-Shift up, down left and right arrows. Keep in mind, however, that I already started using Keyboard Maestro to do the same thing so I dedicated that shortcut to KM>

I don't recall but that sounds right.

Control-Option-f5 twice gives you the screen coordinates and one more press gives you window coordinates.

Yes, I found it worked fine.
Although it's designed to give audible feedback on direction, I found VoiceOver speaks the command anyway so the sound is redundant. All in all, it's handy for those who don't want to get into Keyboard Maestro.

Best,

Hi Slau,
Thanks for the info. Also, I see that Avid is offering a paid
subscription plan for updates etc. Does this mean that we have to pay
for the meters to be fixed?

Jason

Hi Jason,

Free updates continue as usual. The subscription plan is a way for Avid to secure a steady cash flow. You may recall that, for HD users, the upgrade from version 9 to 10 (or was it 10 to 11) was $1000. Another time, the upgrade was $600 and it was never less than $300 going between major versions. For LE or host systems it was always less than that but still a chunk of change. The subscription model spreads the cost out over a yearly figure and ends up being cheaper in the long run but with a support contract. Anyway, Meter issue is fixed and will roll out in the next .x release in just a couple of weeks.
