Hi folks,
Just was curious to see if anyone has ever used the presonus fader port with pro tools.  Was just curious to see about the accessibility.  Thanks for any help.

Hello Brian,

I have 1 however it only has 1 fader but when I used it, for the basic 1 fader works

I don’t use it anymore since I purchased a used Digi 003 almost a year ago.

So worth it! it definitely increased my productivity and adds a bit of the fun analog vibe to it, and since I  work 100% in the box it brakes it up a bit.. people use it differently, I personally recommend.

Looks like they are about to release a 8 motorized fader version of the fader port. Pro Tools expert just did a write up on it that seems pretty detailed about how it works with Pro Tools if anyone is interested.

Hi John,

Are you using the 003 with Pro Tools 12?  Are you using a Firewire adapter?  I'm currently running a Command 8 with PT 11, which seems to work well, but the Command 8 is not officially supported in PT 12. The prices of used 003 interfaces seems like a great way to get formally supported integrated surface control of PT 12 at a reasonable price if the Command 8 doesn't work.

Yes, using the 003. Since my early 2008 Imac has a FireWire 400 port just using a cable.

And running PT12.6 and I noticed 6.1 came out last Friday.

If you mean whether the single fader port will work with the new fader port 8, thats something you will need to direct to PreSonus support.

from the videos I've heard, it does have fader flip mode, and you can have
it hooked up along side with the origianal faderport as well!

if you type in a guy named johnny geib faderport8 on youtube, he just put up
a review on the faderport8 a couple of hours ago. it's about 10 minutes
long! he mainly usues presonus studio 1 though. he's doing a video series
on his youtube channel showing different things that the faderport8 can do.
