Duplicate Workspace / Create Workspace from Template

All,

I'm looking for someone from the producteev team to tell me if this feature is being worked on for the next release of producteev.  There have been several topics posted about this feature request, but no responses from the producteev team yet.

We need a way to create a workspace from a "template" and/or "duplicate workspace".  I could see a "Duplicate Workspace" action icon being available when you hover over any existing workspace.  The "Duplicate Workspace" action could prompt the user to copy "Tasks Only" or "All Settings", which would copy over all tasks, due dates, notes and attachments.  Otherwise, by giving the user the ability to save a workspace as a template, any time the user added a new workspace, they should be given the option to create a blank workspace or one based off a saved template.

I have not had a response from anyone at Producteev on this topic since the acquisition by Jive.  Maybe Ilan has more insight.  The fact remains that the "Duplicate Workspace" functionality needs to be ported over to the mobile interface.  The web interface function does no good for my customer teams.

Hello,

The thing is like this:

When you duplicate the workspace it copies all the tasks and labels but loses:

- deadlines

- notes

- attachments

As a result of duplication I am left with the exact copy of workspace but the crucial information from the notes, important attachments and framework schedule is gone

Reasons why it is important:

- I am using notes to explain the ways of completing the task

- I am attaching documents which are the templates for tasks they are attached to

- task deadlines are being set as recurring events and are universal

Do you think you could give us an option of copying the workspace 1:1 as it is I mean 100% accurate copy?

I would add the following:

1. It is critical that the "Duplicate Workspace" is available from the MOBILE interface.  This feature is the limiting factor in my customer's adoption of the product.

2. As mentioned in a previous post, the action must also prompt a sub-action to "Copy Due Dates - yes/no".
