Mac-based Webcam for DIY Spec Kit

I'm setting up my DIY Spec Kit but I'm on a MAC and the webcam isn't compatible, any suggestions?

You have to use Google Chrome to use Spectral Workbench.  I got the webcam to work with a Mac, but I had to fiddle around with preferences to get it to recognize the webcam, then allow it to access the webcam each time you try to record a spectrum.
