Hi,

I haven't updated my Picochess in quite a while.  What would be the best version to use on an older DGT Pi?  I think I have rev. A.  My current version of Picochess installed is v3.2 Lite.

Is there a more current stable version available?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter, see this thread for the latest versions of my images. You should use the Lite image on a stock DGTPi.

Thanks Randy.

Can I use Apple Pi-Baker to burn the image to my SD card?  I am using a Mac.

Peter

I have no experience with that so unsure. I think Dirk had some problems with it but maybe it was something else. If you want to use wifi you'll have to connect with an Ethernet cable first, or use a keyboard and monitor, then set up wifi using raspi-config. Have a look at the readme file.

Or maybe there's a version of Raspberry Pi Imager that works on a Mac.

Thanks Randy.  I used Apple Pi-Baker for the install of v3.2 and didn't have any problem.  I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Peter

Hi Randy,

When trying to login through ethernet cable, I am getting the below error.  Any help would be appreciated.

It's because you are using a new image with the same ip address for the Pi.

On your PC delete line 7 in the /Users/peterhazen/.ssh/known_hosts file. Save it ensuring it is still named known_hosts (with no extension). You can make a copy of it before editing if you want.

Then try logging in again. It will ask you if you want to add the new host. Just say yes.

Okay.  How do I edit the file?  I am not too familiar with this.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Randy,

I used the nano editor to modify the file.  Everything went great.  I had an issue connecting to my wi-fi network but after I updated the raspi from the config menu everything worked fine.  Quite a number of updates processed.

Thank you very much!

Peter
