Hello my situation is as this:

I have db backup server where barman store all backups files (BASEs as well as WALs).
I did

barman recover sonny 20160829T060006 . --target-time "2016-08-29 11:00"

what generate folder with postgres datas.
I moved that folder to my test server (EC2) where I would like to try recover postgres from that folder.
But one I do

pg_ctl -D /path/to/folder/ start

It starts server but I can't see the database from barman recover.

I really don't know what else to configure or do to get restored databaze. Or is it possible to restore barman backup on different server than it was build?

Thanks for any idea or suggestion.

V.

Hi,

please look at remote recovery in the documentation: http://docs.pgbarman.org/release/1.6.1/#remote-recovery

Yes,

that is exactly what I have done, but I am not able to get the db on the server I recovered data on.

I can start pg_ctl from the recovered folder, but then I have no db recovered, or can see it by “\l” ...
