ostinato does not start

Dear Ostinato developers.

 

I downloaded and installed ostinato, but it does not run. What am I doing wrong?

 

I have Ubuntu 13.10. When I try to run ostinato I get an error message “The portgroup 127.0.0.1:7878 does not contain any ports! …. For more information see…”

 

If I run sudo ostinato, then it starts, but I only get the main ostinato window with all menus except New Port Group, Preferences, and Exit greyed out.  Adding a new port group does nothing. I don’t get any other windows with posts or streams.

 

“sudo drone” results in “The server is running on 0.0.0.0: 7878”

“sni-qt/6583” WARN 13:00:49.464 void StatusNotifierItemDactory::connectToSnw()

Invalid interface to SNW_SERVICE

 

The first error in “sudo drone” output is:

 

Error setting direction (0) nflog: Setting direction is not implemented on this platform

 

PortMonitor: Error opening port nflog….

PortTransmitter: Error opening port nflog…..

Hi srivats, 

Thank you for replying. I figured out the issue. I am running ostinato on a remote machine so i was getting the error. 

I just used sudo -H ostinato and it worked perfectly. :)
