This a may be a dumb question, but it has me stumped. I move the map to display somewhere which is not my current location. If I put osmand into background so I can do something else. Then bring osmand into foreground. It starts off in the location I was previously looking at. This is what I expect. However as soon as a GPS fix is acquired the map recentres back at my current location. This is really annoying. I cannot find any setting to stop this happening. What am I missing.

I already have Navigation:autocentre set to never. Is there another autocentre setting somewhere else?
My device has not moved. I am not in navigating a route. However the GPS signal here is very jittery. Does osmand think my device has moved?

That one is off also.

Aha.
It only does it if I run another app, for example Firefox, in between.
This appears to cause osmand to do a full restart, in this case the centring settings appear to be ignored.

Oops for island read osmand.

This seems to only happen when a large app such as Firefox is loaded. In this case Android is terminating the background activity instance of island to free up resources. It looks like osmand does not catch the onSaveInstanceState callback and save its current state properly.
