Move Edges to New Vertex?

OrientDB Veterans,

In my application, I have logic where I want to take all of the edges that are attached to Vertex A and move them (or create identical edges) to Vertex B.  It seems like it is something that should be a solved problem, but I haven't come across the recommended / proper methodology in my searches.

Has anyone dealt with this or can otherwise give me pointers?

(I'll also ask on Gremlin-users since I am using Tinkerpop stack)

What is size/amount of edges for one vertex  ?

I don't have live usage of this yet, so I don't know how many edges are going to be present.
My test case is using 21 edges, 10 each of two labels and 1 of a third label.

I wrote some code that accomplishes the task, here's a version as a gist:
