As per the title, I am looking for informations regarding the LitePlacer so I can get the same motors, nozzles, etc. if needed in the future.

Hi Philip, if your goal is to find a complete, ready-to-assemble kit that doesn't require endless hours of tweaking and calibration, you should definitely take a look at www.afarco.com. It might save you a lot of time compared to sourcing everything yourself.

Hi!

I own a Liteplacer. During the years I did several modifications. I.e. replaced
he TinyG motion controller with a Duet3D 6HC.

I do not have a BOM at hand, however things are pretty standard:

Motors for XYZ:
NEMA17 steppers 42mmx42mmx48mm
17HM19-2004S1

Motion controller:
Board: Synthetos TinyG v8
MCU: NXP LPC1769 (ARM Cortex-M3 @ 120 MHz)

Nozzles:
Samsung CP40 Nozzles

Cameras: I migrated to ELP Cameras.

If you have dedicated questions, I might be able to help.

Thank you Clemens,

Do you know what the nozzle head was made from? Like what parts? It could be interesting to expand the head to 2-4 nozzles.

Hello!

Is Juha Kuusama or anybody interested to resurrect liteplacer.com?
I can donate server space for a webpage for documentation purposes.
I would currently not (re-)start a shop to sell hardware kits.

Is the software from Juha for the Liteplacer useful for the development of OpenPnP?
https://github.com/jkuusama/LitePlacer-DEV

I am not using Windows OSes, so I likely cannot help with that.

Regards,

Clemens

I believe the software was somewhat dropped due to the advance of OpenPnP and its capabilities. Lots of people ended up shifting away from the LitePlacer software to then OpenPnP, especially after Mark got the TinyG plug-n-play with OpenPnP.

Keeping the LitePlacer documentation alive would be awesome though, it would be sad to see it just disappear especially as people are still using it.
However, I think Juha went into retirement + some health issues, which is why he ended support for the whole thing.

I have a Liteplacer with TinyG for sale. I have added Litesolder parts to it and it is mounted on a kitchen worktop. I am in Bristol, UK and I am willing to dismantle it and arrange shipment (without the work top ). Price is negotiable. It's all working as intended.  More details and pics are available for anybody interested.

Hey Alex,

I'm assuming you wouldn't sell it for parts? Could use an extra nozzle head for dual setup :)

I am away ( will be back at home around 10.7), so I cannot make real picture of it.
You can have a look at the maker page:
I just do not remember which particular setup I took ( nozzle type) - it is packed somewhere in my pick&place part box.

Well - please offer something reasonable. I do not need it anymore and it is shame to let it rot. The item is in Poland (EU), but it is reasonable small to be shipped anywhere.

I’m located in Denmark :)

I’m sorry, I don’t know what to offer because the site doesn’t display the price for me, it just says “Sold Out” :-/

I have checked my history - the original kit ( Juki nozzle version) was 325 USD
I can sell it for you for 100 EUR plus shipping ( which is around 20EUR)

I will post pictures of my once I am back from my work trip to Finland.

I may have some other parts - like nozzle changer (with servo lock) - will have to finally cleanup all these leftovers from my builds

Once you go that far you might be interested in one more thing.

I have bought just frame, will be running it using Duet controller ( originally wanted my own controller but I am in rush so went for ready made solution).  I have like 40..60 kits ( not remember precisely)  kits of their feeders ( https://www.microsmt.com.cn/blogs/microsmt-pnpv3-bing-feeder-system/microsmt-pnpv3-bing-feeder-system ).
I have found out that I do not have enough time to print and assembly them - so I went for ready made feeders ( from Afarco). I tried JLC printing service, but the final price comes over 50% of ready made metal feeders, so gave it up.

So the kits are for sale - it includes controller and some upgrades ( includes also hard to get magnets used for keep them in place)
You only need 20x20 aluminium profile as base....
