Hi Everyone,

First up my apologies if I'm in the wrong place - the Open Photo website isn't clear about where I can ask questions. I funded the project back in Kickstarter days and finally have time to play with it!

I downloaded and installed everything on a Ubuntu server, and it seems to be playing along nicely. However, when I was setting up I noticed a few things:

1) Selecting Dream Objects as a storage medium still forces you to setup using S3 - is this not setup yet?
2) (bug?) If you try and pass the S3 setup page with valid SQL and invalid S3, it builds the database tables anyway so it is not possible to progress past this stage without clearing the database.
3) When an update is released, how do I update my installation?

I thought about using the TroveBox Pro account, but nothing quite beats your own hosted photos ;)

Thanks!

George

George,

We don't have the UI for DreamObjects implemented for self hosted users yet.

Have to check about #2.

You simply update your code and it will run you through the setup again. But you should wait until we have an official release instead of pulling code (even if it's from the master branch).

That all being said, we're working on releasing version 4.0 and I suggest you wait for that. Probably a week or so.

Not yet. I tested the build for fresh installs and need to confirm for upgrades.

Hoping this week. There's one bug with the CSS file not being statically generated which we'd like to fix.

Jaisen,

Will the release support dream files or is that slated for future?
