Can I connect PHD2 to arduino?

Hi everyone, can I ask some questions about PHD2 and how does ST4 work?

Recently I get a Vixen GP but without motor and gear. I have a step motor and it was control by arduino for barn door tracker. So I wonder: Can I use PHD2 "on camera" fuction with ST4,link arduino, to tell the step motor to go faster or slower?

But I'm almost know nothing about coding, so want to ask this question here.

Connected the way you have done it can work as long a you have coded the Arduino appropriately. I have done dsomething similar but coded the Arduino to respond to pulse guiding commands which in turn required me to write an ASCOM driver. If you are not proficient at coding you are going to have a difficult time getting it to work

Thanks for suggestion!Just like you say, to write a Ascom for me would be really hard.I think I'll give up this way for a while and buy a EQ Drive.Stil very thank you for respond
