Files not created in the right folder

to NV Autocrat Add-on
Hi there,
I'd like to use the "6. Add dynamic folder reference (optional)" feature, which looks awesome.
But Autocrat keeps creating the files in the folder specified in "5. Choose destination folder(s)".
But Autocrat keeps creating the files in the folder specified in "5. Choose destination folder(s)".
And if I delete the folder specified in the step 5, Autocrat refuses to save and writes "You must select at least one primary or dynamic destination".
How can I solve this?

Don't try to save the merge until you have completed step 6. Just click Next on Step 5. I think that might work.

My job has been deleted, I need to create again.

Ah OK, Autocrat seems to have come back to a previous version (don't know why...).
I clicked "Update" and now I got my job again.

What you propose is the way I used Autocrat before I asked the question.
I just tried this again and still get the pop-up telling my I must select at least one primary or dynamic destination.
My job has been deleted, I need to create again.

Autocrat wants you to create the dynamic folders as subfolders of the primary.

I guess the thinking is to keep you organized. You could try setting the primary and then making the Dynamic folders elsewhere to see if it works.

I'm using the Add-on version and you always get the most recent version.
When I edit my job, in step 5 I leave the folder blank. In step 6, I select the question that contains the link to the folder.
It seemed to work for me. I don't attempt a Save while on Step 5. I click Next to set the question in Step 6.

Brian, this is probably what explains the bug and it's a pity because we don't want our customers folders (containing everything related to customers) to be subfolders of this procedure (which is only one specific task among many others related to customers).
Does Autocrat plan to authorize any folder to be used as dynamic folder? And at least does Autocrat plan to explain this specification so that we don't all waste so much time trying to solve something that we can't? Sincerely, Olivier | ||||||

The folders must exist so Autocrat can place the data there. Autocrat needs the URL to function.
Autocrat was written by NewVisions which is a charity that supports the New York schools. The dynamic folders are for putting the file in a particular school's folder.
Just because it doesn't work the way you want it doesn't mean there is a bug.
You might want to keep all of the output in one folder but put useful information in the title of the file to make it easier to locate.

Yes I understand it is for putting the file in a particular folder, which is exactly what I'd like Autocrat to do.
As a matter of fact, as Brian wrote in this thead, "Autocrat wants you to create the dynamic folders as subfolders of the primary." ➜ Autocrat doesn't accept a folder that is not a subfolder. But there is no obvious reason to force people to create subfolders right there. As I tried to explain, we have customers folders in which we'd like new files to be put by Autocrat but we don't want the customers folders to be subfolders of the Autocrat folder because there are many other kinds of informations in the customers folders, and in addition these folders are not shared with the same people as the Autocrat folder, which is shared with every person who needs it.
I talked about a bug because this is the way it appears to me as a user: Autocrat doesn't write the reason for it not to work, it just tells me that what I'm trying to do cannot work.
I understand it is not a "bug" from a technical point of view.
