Hello,

I'm testing to create a file of merged information. If I select a destination folder that is not My Drive, I get the following errors:

Failed to create doc (ERR:API call to drive.files.copy failed with error: File not found: 1qANnZNTRXCQX3_sHbmrxEROIRo54a7phRsaRt1O9Omk)
Failed to create doc (ERR:API call to drive.files.copy failed with error: File not found: 1v-8la1dyHGCGZlJtQ7GLV0HOqCnIAFzLsoK1zgUdsqo)
Failed to create doc (ERR:API call to drive.files.copy failed with error: File not found: 1qANnZNTRXCQX3_sHbmrxEROIRo54a7phRsaRt1O9Omk)

How can I resolve this?

Thanks,
Patrix

Hello,

I've upgraded to Autocrat V3 and the PDFs are successfully created as tested before. However, the files are put in the personal drive rather than folder set under the destination folder setting.

Document successfully created; Invalid image URL [Data], make sure that it is public; Document successfully merged; PDF created; !!!ERR: Failed to add merged file to folder due to Google error: API call to drive.files.patch failed with error: File not found: 1bhJwLjEs1q0bWLaI-2gdng29jCJ5qbdM; Emails Sent: [To: patrix....@lendinghome.com]; Manually run by patrix....@lendinghome.com; Timestamp: Jul 11 2023 8:29 PM

Thanks,
Patrix

Autocrat will not work with a shared drive. You must have right access to the folder you give it. I don't believe you have to be the owner of the folder.

You cannot specify the drive you want to receive the files and a unique folder based on a URL in the in the data.

When you are using image and image, the image file must be viewable from anyone who has the URL you need to set. Change the sharing setting to make sure that you can copy the URL and get to it from say a incognito window under Chrome.

Actually, what if the user is a manager of the shared drive and the manager of the folder in the shared drive. Technically, the user has right access to the folder without being the owner. Would it still not work cause the folder is in a shared drive and Autocrat won't work with shared drives at all? Is there no workaround for the shared drives?

It is my understanding that it is a Google limitation that you cannot use the add-on with a shared drive. It doesn't matter who is the owner of the share drive.
