AutoCrat could not run

I have been getting the "AutoCrat could not run" message for old forms that are not active and haven't been updated in a while - some since 2021. Here is the text of the message:

"The Google Sheets add-on AutoCrat is set to run automatically at a specific time interval, when a form is submitted, or both.

The add-on recently ran but was not able to complete successfully for the following reason:

We're sorry, a server error occurred. Please wait a bit and try again.

Click to open your spreadsheet

If you need help troubleshooting this issue, head over to the AutoCrat G+ community

This notification email will be sent to you at most once per day."

It's annoying to me but embarrassing when a Board member receives it as well and asks me why he is receiving the message. (It was on a form/spreadsheet that he has access to.) Any ideas as to why this is happening or how I can stop it?

Somewhere in the message is a link to open the spreadsheet.  If there is a Time trigger set that isn't needed anymore, remove it.  It reads, "click here to open".

Thank you for responding. The thing is, I don't ever choose time triggers - I only choose run if timestamp is not null. But I'm still getting these seemingly random notifications that autocrat can't run.

I'm getting the same message for multiple forms a day.  Some of mine were from 2021, even.  I found this in the manual:

Enabling form triggers will automatically enable the time triggers

This is because there still seems to be a bug that causes form triggers to disappear.  If you set a form trigger, a time trigger will run every hour making sure the form trigger has not disappeared.  If it has, it will repair it.

That's the one that I think is triggering this.  I wonder if I need to delete the really old jobs?

One should always turn off triggers that are no longer needed.  Why make Google's computers run the add-on only to find out that there are no rows to process.

Do I always remember to turn them off?  No but I do if I get a did not run warning email.

We may not be using the sheet for a month or so and we receive a warning that the autocrat could not run. 

What if do not disable the trigger, do we need to enable it again if this warning comes?

Or will it run automatically whenever a new row entry will come?

Please clarify.

I would not disable a trigger if you expect to receive forms.  I suspect there are many forms / autocrat or formmule jobs that continue to run the time trigger hourly months or years after the creator expects a form to be submitted.

There is no hard and fast rule.  When I get the message, I open the spreadsheet and make sure the job has run.  Most of the time all rows have been processed.

Here is a video that shows how to create an audit process that allows one to monitor all of their merge jobs.  You can get a daily email that  verifies that there are no unprocessed rows.  One audit can verify as many merge jobs as you want.
