goocanvas and pygoocanvas for CentOS

Hi

For CentOS installation of NS3, some additional packages are needed (goocanvas and pygoocanvas). It is suggested to enable the RPMForge repo as described here: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/RPMForge

However, there is a message at above link => RPMForge/RepoForge is a dead project. It is not maintained. DO NOT USE.

Could you please suggest an alternative (another verified repository perhaps) to install goocanvas and pygoocanvas for CentOS 6?

I was able to install goocanvas and pygoocanvas as below:

Ref: https://pkgs.org/centos-6/repoforge-x86_64/goocanvas-0.15-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm.html

1. Download the latest rpmforge-release rpm from

http://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/dag/redhat/el6/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS/

2. Obtain the RPM for pygoocanvas and pygoocanvas-devel from here: http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/dextop/el6/x86_64/

3. Install rpmforge-release rpm:
# rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release*rpm

4. Install goocanvas and pygoocanvas as per ns3 installation guide @ https://www.nsnam.org/wiki/Installation

# yum install goocanvas pygtk2-devel
# rpm -ivh pygoocanvas-0.14.1-3.el6.nux.x86_64.rpm
# rpm -ivh pygoocanvas-devel-0.14.1-3.el6.nux.x86_64.rpm
