Hi all,
Is there a way to get the mac address from the packet captured from the MaxRx trace source?
Thanks

Hi,

simply put: no. You can add another trace source if you need the mac source address, or you can add a tag to the packet.

Hi Tommaso

How can I add another trace source? do you mean a separate one? what I am trying to do is to split the source of the packets received by the AP using the mac address.

Study the manual.

This is up to you. You're going to modify a module, so it's largely up to you. What you do is not really important, unless you plan to submit a patch to be included in ns-3.

Nice to know, but it doesn't really change the problem. That trace doesn't have the source mac address.
