I just installed discourse and was trying to setup the SMTP settings using amazon SES.  I'm only going to be sending email out using SES and inbound email will come in to our main email address.

How do I set this up?

Amazon SES provides me with the following:

  • SMTP server name
  • SMTP server port
  • TLS enabled
  • Username
  • password

Thanks

Rhett

Step 3 on this document provides details into how to set it up:

The SMTP server name provided by SES will go under the SMTP Host.
SMTP port is self explanatory.
You then supply your email address and password used to receive inbound emails on SES

That's what I was expecting.  However, won't the emails show up with the reply address being the SES user name?

Can you advice what the current value for the reply to address is?

There's no reply to address when using AWS SES.  They just give you a login name and password.
