Guys,

I'm having a task to study about MongoDB and SNMP. From my study last week, I have install MongoDB Ent and configure authentication for mongod. Yesterday, I'm creating a running dummy flows on node-RED to insert data using mongodb node. And now, I need to figure out how to integrate MongoDB with SNMP / SNMP with MongoDB

My Node-RED Flow and Result

My explore about MongoDB Cloud Management

As for data is inserted on MongoDB, I'm installing SNMP node which it will have 4 nodes as image.

Q1: How actually this SNMP will be resulted in Node-RED and what are the used of output from this node?
Q2: Have anyone ever done this and have sample/example/guide for SNMP nodes output?

This thing is very new to me. Super new. Super novices.

Oh no..next week should be the presentation day of my explore and findings. Lol!
I try to search more into it in a meantime. I'm glad if you could present the examples for others references too. Thanks man👍

Thanks Mika, I will test it tomorrow at office time..btw can I run it to request on self status? Mean, I'm running SNMP request node to request own OIDs status. Is it not a problem?

Hi Mika,

I have test the flow. Yes it success. But, why the OID is not appear in OID repository here as a valid oid? Besides, I'm entering 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.9.0 which is percentage of user CPU time but returned with RequestFailedError: NoSuchName: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.9.0  on debug panel after inject.

What I'm missing here? How to actually redefined the OID that is recognized by SNMP? Means like 1.3.6.1 and next number, how can I know which will be resulted as not error?

Hi,

When checking OID repository - you should remove the .0 at the end (I don't know why).

When using it in the snmp node of nodered you must add the .0 at the end otherwise it is not working.

If snmp node is giving an error then the first thing you have to check if snmp is configured properly.
You can check this with the snmpwalk command as follows:

pi@pi3two:~ $ snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 2c 192.168.1.132 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.9.0
ssCpuUser
.0 = INTEGER: 0
