I looks like http://nhforge.org/ has been down for a few days at least. Anybody know why?

Ouch, that's not good. Anyone here that knows who has control over the domain name?? I'm a bit scared there is not enough attention being paid to nHibernate these days. Too bad!

From what I can tell it's still registered to Dario, even if the DNS data is missing.

Dario, are you seeing this?

In the mean-time the wayback machine helps:

I can see Google has now removed nhforge from its index.

I've made contact with Dario a few days ago. He needs to renew the domain registration. Hopefully he will get to it very soon.

Before I made contact, I'd secured domains nhforge.info and nhibernate.info. It seems nhibernate.com would be available to us also.

Why not just make github be the one and only place for all things NHibernate? OTH, nhibernate.com is a great domain :)

IMHO those kind of things cause a bit of bad image for the NH project. Also search engines put you down in the queue if a website is not available so it makes much harder for people to reach the NH documentatio.

Great to see the site up and running again. Not being involved in the development of nHibernate (just using it) I was afraid that the project was totally abandoned. Glad that is not the case! Any word on what caused to downtime? Who is hosting the site?

Regards

The domain wasn't renewed on time. It was never up-for-grabs, just disabled in DNS until it was renewed.

Thanks for replying Oskar! While I have the opportunity to ask someone that is well informed on nHibernate; is there some kind of official road map for the project? I was looking around at nhforge.org, but most stuff there is stale (latest post in the RSS feed is from 2011 etc). I also looked at the road map in Jira, but it lacks dates for the releases. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

NH 4.0 is planned and will be built for .Net 4.
I think there will be a NH 3.4 also, still for .Net 3.5, with mainly bugfixes.

Other than that, whatever issue that anyone wants to work on gets fixed. Personally I've been very busy lately.
