How do you create a Jira Ticket

Hi all,

It may sound like a daft question but how do I submit a bug fix? I have found a bug in NHibernate, wrote some tests and implemented the fix. However I have no idea how to submit the fix. Everyone just says to create a Jira ticket but I don't know how I am supposed to do this.

Can anyone please tell me how I do this?

You can start by creating an account at https://nhibernate.jira.com.

The jira ticket is a requirement, but once you've managed to open it, you may submit the actual fix as a pull request on github if you want to.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back. The problem I have is that I do not see anywhere to create an account. When I click 'Log In', expecting to be able to register, it simply says, 'To request an account, please contact your JIRA administrators.'. Who do I need to contact to get an account created?

Weird - this has worked before. I'll try to figure out what's happened. I think Atlassian have done some hosting changes.

I've also opened a support ticket with Atlassian, who hosts the service.

In the meantime, I've sent you an invitation - perhaps it works.

Hi Oskar,

Thanks for looking into for me. It looks like it might be related, I will keep an eye on the issue then as unfortunately the invite did not work, said the user limit had been reached. Hopefully this won't stop me from creating an account when the issue is resolved.

Great.

Atlassian had to restart the Jira instance. They do claim there is still a problem with the captcha not being displayed due to another bug, but I guess that one is skipped if you have an invite.
