Hello members!

I am following the Neurosynth steps in Jupyter/Ipython as stated in http://nbviewer.jupyter.org/github/neurosynth/neurosynth/blob/master/examples/neurosynth_demo.ipynb

I am facing issue in the last step, i.e.,"decoding your own images". When I give the instruction: data = decoder.decode(['pIns.nii.gz', 'vIns.nii.gz', 'dIns.nii.gz'], save='decoding_results.txt'), the output shows: FileNotFoundError: no such file 'pIns.nii.gz'.

I have googled to find the reason for the same but I could not find any....I would like to know what it means and why is the error so and what should I do?

Thanks and regards,
Sujata

The error is telling you that a file is not found. Is that file pIns.nii.gz located in your present working directory where you are running the example?

Best,

Vanessa

Note that it says in the tutorial:

"In this example, we'll decode three insula-based coactivation networks drawn from Chang, Yarkoni, Khaw, & Sanfey (2012). You should substitute your own images into the list below. "

If you want those images, I think they are hosted on NeuroVault:

Just a guess, but I'd say this one is pInsvIns, and dIns, respectively. Are you familar with Github? If you are concerned about this in the tutorial, you could add a note and link to the reader to find (and download) the data from NeuroVault, but doing that would be dependent on them reading it! Ha.

Happy Decoding!

Best,

Vanessa

Hii Vanessa,

My friend and I have sorted out the problem...actually, instead of pInsvIns, and dIns, when I inserted the acc_seed_pA .nii.gz file that has been saved earlier by coding, it worked fine. Thank you very much for your suggestion.

Regards
Sujata

Those image files are not provided with the notebook. As the notebook says, "You should substitute your own images into the list below."
