Exporting Neo4J subgraph into Excel spreadsheet

Hi all,


I wrote a small module to export specific search nodes from Neo4j into an excel file.

We needed to export some data for a third-party check and I couldn't find any simple way to export specific data into a text/csv file, so I wrote some small script in python myself.

The module is written in python and its using 'xlwt' and 'py2neo' packages.

I would be happy to get any remarks or suggestions as I am new to graph DBs.

As Nigel mentioned, we’ve also been playing with Excel + Neo4j this week.

Does your module support cypher queries?

Hi Alex.

Unfortunately no. It only supports indexing in the neo4j 1.9 format.

If you want to alter the code for it (or even better - update the git) I can send you simple instructions privately.
