Dear Friends,

Kerala Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of all 19 Ministers including Chief Minister from Kerala State Assembly 2016.

Criminal Background

·         Minister with criminal cases: Out of the all 19 Ministers analysed, 17 (89%) Ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves.

·         Minister with serious criminal cases: 3 (16%) Ministers have declared serious criminal cases against themselves.

Financial Background

·         Crorepati Ministers: Out of the 19 Ministers, 5 (26%) are crorepatis.

·         Average Assets: The average assets of 19 Ministers are  Rs 78.72 Lakhs.

·         Ministers with Highest Assets: The minister with the highest declared total assets is A K Balan from Tarur constituency with assets worth Rs. 2.36 crores. The top three Ministers with highest declared assets are:
