I'm not sure if for sale items are allowed in the group, but I did search for a FAQ.  I tried to get my boys interested in robotics and built a rover using the following components.
They did not find the project at all interesting so I'm selling what I cannot use for other projects.  $300
I'm local in Groton.  80/20 not included.

- Pride Jazzy Mini Right And Left Drive Motor/Gear from a Jazzy Mini. Brakes removed.

- 2 Custom robotic keyed wheel adapters ( NPC-PH817 Hub)
- 2 Heavy duty robotic wheels (NPC-PT5306 14 inch flat-proof wheel)
- 2- new 12volt SLA batteries
- 1 sabertooth 2x25 motor controller
- 2 balancing caster wheels
- Custom DIY wheelchair motor mounts

Hi Scott,

Personal, non-spammy "for sale” postings are fine (like yours).  Business “for-sale” postings should be cleared with the NRB Sponsorship Committee first.

I was actually on the look-out for a power chair to hack… you’ve made it part way there!

A couple questions…

Which version of the Sabertooth controller do you have?  I see there is the “original” and “V2” on Dimension’s website (not sure what the differences are, but they do have separate manuals).

What are the capacities of the SLA batteries (or, better yet, can you take a picture of their labels)?

Have you had the Sabertooth driving the motors already, and how do things seem (e.g. plenty of headroom on current, just making it, smokes, etc.)?

Thanks,
Jay

Hey Jay,

Looking back through my records, the sabertooth was purchased in September 2015, so I believe its the v2 version.

The batteries are from batteries plus also purchased late last year.  I've never charged them as they have been  used at most for about 1-2 hours with the robot.

What little use of the motor/controller/battery combination we had, I always throught it had plenty of power and worried that if I left the boys alone with the robot they would damage some property 8-).  This is a strong combo.
