Variable message-signature becomes buffer local when answering/ composing messages

Hey there,

I am using a default mu4e offlineimap / gmail setting, as described in the manual.

All works well.

There is just one little thing that I have not figured out: I have set up the signature for my mail to my likings.

The value of the variable is as it should be when I check on it on with C-h v

However: As soon as I actually do compose a message or reply to one, the value is suddenly gone. Checking message-signature again i see that it is now buffer local.

The original value is still displayed, as it should be, but the variable now contains the default text "Sent with my mu4e"

I know this is not huge and the signature is not terribly important for me, but I tought you would like to know.

Btw: I do remember that I did not have that issue before upgrading mu4e to the latest version. Maybe some internal changed ??

I ran into the same issue. Check out the variable
`mu4e-compose-signature`. It now overrides `message-signature`. If you
set the former to the value you've set for the latter, you get the old
behaviour back.

The default value of mu4e-compose-signature is not unfunny, BTW. :-)
