ஏழு வருடம் பாலியல் கொடுமைக்கு பலியாகிய 23 வயது பெண் துணிகரமாக இச்செயலைச் செய்திருக்கின்றார்.  எத்தகைய மன அழுத்ததிற்கு இப்பெண் உள்ளாகியிருப்பார் என்பதை நினைக்கும் போது மனம் வலிக்கின்றது. இந்த கொடுமையை நீண்ட நாட்கள் அறிந்திருத்தும் இது பற்றி நடவடிக்கை எடுக்காத இப்பெண்ணின் தாயாரை போலீசார் கைது செய்திருப்பதாகவும் ஒரு செய்தி வந்துள்ளது.

A 23-year-old law student took revenge on a godman who had allegedly sexually abused her for years, by almost cutting off his penis late on Friday night.

The 54-year-old swami, who has links with the Hindu Aikya Vedi, an umbrella organisation of Sangh Parivar outfits, has been charged with rape and offences under the law against sexual abuse of children. The woman, who has not been charged, has been hailed as “courageous” by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The accused swami, Gangesanantha Teerthapadar, is associated with Panmana Chattambil Swamikal Asramam, established in Kollam by a disciple of the 19th century social reformer Chattambi Swamikal. He has been a preacher at several temples in Kerala, and has been at the forefront of agitations by the Hindu Aikya Vedi.

He was revered by the upper-caste Hindu Nair family to which the woman belonged, and had free access to their home in Thiruvananthapuram.

Police said the incident occurred around 11.30 pm on Friday, when the swami was at the woman’s home. As he prepared to abuse her, she attacked him with a knife that she had kept ready. She then ran out of the house, taking her mobile phone. Once outside, she rang the police, who rushed across and took the bleeding swami to the medical college hospital.

The swami, who was known as Sree Hari in his poorvashram, was admitted to the hospital with his penis almost severed. He told the police he had inflicted the injury upon himself, “as it (the organ) was of no use for him”.

A medical college official said, “He was admitted with 90 per cent of the penis severed. The penis could not be sutured. Doctors of urology and plastic surgery departments subjected him to emergency surgery to control bleeding and enable him to pass urine. His condition is stable now.”

Police charged the swami with rape and under various sections of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, as the exploitation had began when the victim was still a minor. On Saturday evening, police recorded the swami’s arrest. He will be produced before a court once he is discharged from hospital.

Chief Minister Vijayan said, “It (the woman’s action) was a courageous step. No doubt about it. Since she has taken the action, what is left for us is to give support for her.”

Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr Arul R B Krishna said there was no particular provocation for the woman to act on Friday night — “She had taken the decision to chop off the genitals of the swami much earlier. It was executed yesterday.”

The officer said the swami had been abusing the woman sexually since the time she was a minor. “We are also looking into whether the abuse has been going on with the consent of parents, particularly the mother. A detailed statement of the woman will be recorded, and we will also look into whether any financial transaction had taken place between the family and the swami,” Krishna said.

BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan, who has been the state general secretary of Kerala Hindu Aikya Vedi, said, “I know all swamis in Kerala, including Gangesanantha Teerthapadar. Let the police conduct the probe in the right direction.”

The swami — who ran a tea stall in Ernakulam earlier — got in touch with the woman’s family several years ago in connection with an agitation organised at Kannamoola near Thiruvananthapuram, which is the birthplace of Chattambi Swamikal. The agitation was to reclaim the birthplace of Swamikal, which had been allegedly taken away. Even though the agitation lost steam, the swami remained a frequent visitor to the family’s home.

The woman’s parents thought of him as a godman, and he had a say in the family’s decisions. He was given a room in the house for conducting pujas.

The Panmana Asramam has distanced itself from the swami. Its secretary, A R Gireesh Kumar, said the ashram wanted the accused to be punished. “Fifteen years ago, he had joined the ashram for studies, but he did not complete them. He may have come to the asramam, but we have no links with him. He was not given the title of theerthapadar.”

The swami had been associated with Rajasekharan during the agitation against an airport project in Pathanamthitta district. He had also agitated against the government’s bid to bring temples in north Kerala under a state-controlled temple board.

A social activist who visited the woman said, “She seems to be a brave woman. She told us that she had cut the genitals of the swami in self-defence. She realised that there was no other way to escape the rapist. She said she did not want to be another rape victim who spent her life suffering. She wanted the rapist to suffer throughout his life.”​

பிறப்புறுப்பு துண்டிக்கப்பட்ட கங்கேசானந்த தீர்த்தபாத சாமியார் ‘போக்சோ’ சட்டத்தின்கீழ் கைது செய்யப்பட்டார். அவர் திருவனந்தபுரம் அரசு ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் பலத்த போலீஸ் பாதுகாப்புடன் தொடர்ந்து சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகிறார்.

இந்த நிலையில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த மாணவியின் தாய் கேரள போலீஸ் டி.ஜி.பி. சென்குமாரை சந்தித்து பரபரப்பு புகார் ஒன்று கொடுத்துள்ளார். அந்த புகாரில் அவர் கூறி இருப்பதாவது:-

எனது மகள் அதே பகுதியை சேர்ந்த ஒரு வாலிபரை காதலித்து வந்தார். நாங்கள் விசாரித்ததில் அந்த வாலிபர் நல்லவர் இல்லை என்பது தெரிய வந்ததால் எனது மகளிடம் காதலை கைவிடும்படி கூறினேன்.

இதற்கிடையில் எனது கணவரின் நோயை குணப்படுத்துவதற்காக எங்களது வீட்டிற்கு வந்த கங்கேசானந்த தீர்த்தபாத சாமியாரும் எனது மகளுக்கு புத்திமதி கூறினார். இது அவர் மீது எனது மகளுக்கு ஆத்திரத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

சம்பவத்தன்று இரவு நாங்கள் அனைவரும் வீட்டில் சாப்பிட்டுவிட்டு தூங்கச் சென்றுவிட்டோம். சாமியாரும் பாலும், பழமும் சாப்பிட்டுவிட்டு தனியறையில் தூங்கச் சென்றார்.

நள்ளிரவில் சாமியாரின் அலறல் சத்தம் கேட்டு நாங்கள் திடுக்கிட்டு விழித்துப் பார்த்தோம். அப்போது எனது மகள் சாமியாரின் அறையில் இருந்து கையில் ரத்த கறை படித்த கத்தியுடன் ஆவேசமாக வெளியே வந்தார்.

அவரது காதலனின் உதவியுடன் அவர் சாமியாரின் பிறப்புறுப்பை துண்டித்துள்ளார். சம்பவம் நடந்த பிறகு காதலன் தப்பியோடிவிட்டார். எனவே காதலை கண்டித்ததால் தான் எனது மகள் சாமியாரின் பிறப்புறப்பை அறுத்து உள்ளார். எனவே மகளின் காதலனை பிடித்து விசாரித்து உண்மையை வெளியில் கொண்டுவர வேண்டும்.

இவ்வாறு அவர் கூறி உள்ளார்.

இதேபோல ஸ்ரீஹரி என்ற கங்கேசானந்த தீர்த்தபாத சாமியாரின் தாயார் குட்டியம்மா என்பவரும் டி.ஜி.பி.யிடம் ஒரு புகார் செய்துள்ளார். அந்த புகாரில் எனது மகனை இதுபோல கொடுமைப்படுத்தியது தவறு. அவர் ஒழுக்கமான சாமியாராக வாழ்க்கை நடத்தி வந்தார். அந்த மாணவியின் காதலை கண்டித்ததால் தற்போது எனது மகன் மீது பொய் புகார் கொடுத்து உள்ளனர். எனவே இதுபற்றி முறையாக விசாரிக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறி உள்ளார்.

இதுபற்றி விசாரணை நடத்த டி.ஜி.பி. சென்குமார் பேட்டை போலீசாருக்கு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார்.

போலிஸில் அடித்து மிரட்டி வாக்குமூலம் வாங்குவது புதிது அல்ல.

சட்டபடி போலிஸிடம் கொடுத்த வாக்குமூலம் செல்லாது.கோர்ட்டில் அடித்து மிரட்டினார்கள் என மறுத்தால் வாக்குமூலம் நிற்காது

இந்த விவாதம் லிங்க நீக்கம் செய்யப்பட்ட சுவாமிகளுக்கு ஆதரவாக அவரது அம்மாவும், லிங்க நீக்கம் செய்த பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்ணின் அம்மாவும் கொடுத்த புகார்கள் தனித்தனியாக விசாரிக்கப்பட வேண்டியவை. ஆயினும் அந்த புகார்களைப் படித்த மாத்திரத்திலேயே அது இட்டுக்கட்டப்படட புகார்கள் என்பது தெளிவாகத் தெரிகிறது. லிங்க நீக்கமான சுவாமிகள் அந்தப் பெண்ணின் காதலை எதிர்த்த காரணத்தினாலேயே இப்படிப் பட்ட கொடுமைக்கு ஆளானார் என்பது போதுமான காரணம் அல்ல. நீதிமன்ற விசாரனையின் போது சுவாமிகளுக்கு ஆதரவான புகார்கள் துணை ஆதாரங்களாகவே இருக்கும், அது மட்டுமின்றி அவை விசாரணையின் போது சுவாமிகளுக்கு எதிரானதாகவே மாறிவிடும் அபத்தம் இருக்கிறது என்பதுதான் ஆச்சர்யாமான உண்மை.

எனவே சுவாமிகளுக்கு நிச்சயம் தண்டனை கிடைக்கும். கிடைத்த தண்டனை போதாதா என்று நீங்கள் கேட்டால்.. அவரது விதி அதுதான் என்று சொல்லத் தோன்றுகிறது.

நம் நாட்டில் கையுங் களவுமாக மாட்டுகின்றவரை சாமியார்களாகவே இருப்பார்கள்.. மாட்டியப் பிறகு போலிச் சாமியர்களாக அடையாளம் காட்டப்படுவார்கள். பாவம் லிங்கத்தை பறிகொடுத்த சாமிகளை இனி நல்ல சாமியாராக மாற்ற முடியாது.. இயற்கை அந்த பாக்கியத்தை அவருக்குத தரவில்லை.

எனினும் ஒரு மனிதனாக அவருக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டது அதிகப்பட்ச தண்டனையே.. என்பது என் கருத்து. ஆனால் இத்தனை ஆண்டுகளாக அந்தப் பெண் ஏன் வெளியே சொல்லவில்லை என்று கேள்விக் கேட்பதே அபத்தம். இதுபோல் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்களின் வழக்குகளை நான் பார்த்திருக்கிறேன். பல்வேறு பண்பாட்டு அழுத்தங்கள் பெண்கள் மீது இருப்பதால் அவர்களால் நாம் நினைப்பதுபோல வெளியே சொல்ல முடியவில்லை என்பது சுடும் உண்மை.

இதே போன்ற ஒரு சம்பவம் விருதுநகர் மாவட்டத்தில் வத்திராயிருப்பு பகுதியில் நடந்திருக்கிறது. அது சிறுகதையாகக்கூட வெளியிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அந்த சம்பவத்தில் தொடர்புடைய பெண்ணின் நேரடி வாக்குமூலத்தின் அடிப்படையில் அந்த கதை எழுதப்பட்டது. அந்த சிறுகதையை எழுதியவரை நான் நன்கு அறிவேன். கதையினை விட சம்வத்தை நேரடியாக அவர் விவரித்தபோது எனக்கு ஆச்சர்யமாக இருந்தது. பாலியல் ரீதியாக ஒரு பெண் பாதிக்கப்படும் போது அந்த பெண்ணுக்கு எழும் ஆவேசம் அளவிட முடியாதது. கேரளப் பெண்ணுக்காவது கத்தி கிடைத்தது. விருதுநகர் பெண்ணுக்கு கதிர் அறுக்கும் அரிவாள். இடுப்பில் சொருகியிருந்த அறிவாளால் ஒரே இழுப்பு.. எல்லாம் ஒரு நொடியில் முடிந்துவிட்டது.. அது ஆண் எதிர்பார்க்காத தருணம். அவ்வளவுதான். சுவாமிகளுக்கும் அப்படித்தான் நிகழ்ந்திருக்கும்.. அந்த பெண்ணின் காதலை எதிர்த்தார் என்பதற்காக அவர் •குறி வைக்கப்பட்டார் என்பதில் எந்த லாஜிக்கும் இல்லை. அந்த பையனைப்பற்றி சுவாமிகள் இன்னும் வாய் திறக்கவில்லை. எனவே நாம் பேசி பயனில்லை..

Salem gang rape: Detain accused under Goondas Act, says forum

Fact-finding team from NGO interacts with relatives of victim

A fact-finding team from Evidence, a Madurai-based NGO, which visited Salem district and interacted with relatives of a 14-year-old girl who was gang raped, has demanded that all the accused must be detained under Goondas Act.

In a press release, Evidence Executive Director A. Kathir said that though the victim was treated in a hospital, she should be given medical care and counselling till she came out of the shock. The family members should be given ex gratia of Rs. 10 lakh and the government should undertake the girl’s higher education, which alone would give her motivation.

The fact-finding team members were informed that the police hesitated to book a rape case against the accused initially. However, after repeated confessions from the victim, they had registered the case under relevant sections. Whether it was with the consent or not, a minor girl was sexually abused and it could not be termed consensual.

In fact, it was a heinous crime, Mr. Kathir said and hoped the police officers were not only knowledgeable, but could understand the mental agony of victims under such extraordinary circumstances.

The Evidence team had recommended for an independent probe by the National Commission for Women and urged the National Human Rights Commission to take note of the torture meted out to a minor Dalit girl.

About 60 to 65 per cent of crimes were against minor girls and only a meagre two to three per cent of cases reported were convicted by courts.

Most of the cases were “settled” out of court and many police officers, under the guise of taking care of the future of the victims, tried compromise through illegal means. Such acts weakened the case and even genuine witnesses turned hostile.

To put an end, the police should look for examining victims, accused and witnesses through scientific methods, which alone would bring down crimes against children, he added.

மதுரை மாவட்டம் பொதும்பு கிராமத்தில் உள்ள அரசு உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளியில் தலைமை ஆசிரியராகப் பணியாற்றி வந்த ஆரோக்கியசாமி, அப்பள்ளியில் பயின்று வந்த மாணவிகளை பல ஆண்டுகளாக பாலியல் சீண்டல் செய்து வந்துள்ளார். அக்குழந்தைகள் வெளியில் சொன்னால் அடுத்த வகுப்பிற்கு தேர்ச்சி பெற முடியாது எனவும், நன்னடத்தை சான்றிதழில் மோசம் என்று போட்டுத் தந்து விடுவதாகவும் மிரட்டி தொடர்ந்து பாலியல் சீண்டல் செய்துள்ளார்.

இந்த பிரச்சனை 2011 ஜூலையில் மாதர் சங்கத்தின் கவனத்திற்கு வந்தது. உடனடியாக ஜனநாயக மாதர் சங்கம் மற்றும் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளின் பெற்றோர்கள் சார்பாக காவல்துறையில் புகார் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு 3 மாத காலமாகியும் குற்றவாளி கைது செய்யப்படாத நிலையில் 2011 அக்டோபர் மாதம் ஜனநாயக மாதர் சங்கம் சார்பாக மதுரை எஸ்.பி அலுவலகம் முன்பு முற்றுகைப் போராட்டம் நடத்திய பின்பே குற்றவாளி கைது செய்யப்பட்டார்.

இந்த வழக்கில் குற்றவாளிக்கு 55 ஆண்டுகள் கடுங்காவல் தண்டனையும், அபராதமாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட 5 தலித் குழந்தைகளுக்கு தலா 50,000மும், 17 குழந்தைகளுக்கு தலா 10,000மும் வழங்க மதுரை நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதி சண்முகசுந்தரம் உத்தரவிட்டார். இது இந்திய நீதிமன்ற வரலாற்றிலேயே சிறப்புமிக்க தீர்ப்பாகும். இத்தீர்ப்பு குழந்தைகள் மீது வன்முறைகளை பிரயோகிப்பவர்களுக்கு அச்சத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் தீர்ப்பாகும்.

மேலும் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்து 3 மாத காலம் குற்றவாளி கைது செய்யப்படாத நிலையில் ஜனநாயக மாதர் சங்கத்தின் 13வது மாநில மாநாடு, குற்றவாளியை கைது செய்யக் கோரி மதுரை எஸ்.பி. அலுவலகத்தை முற்றுகையிட அறைகூவல் விடுத்தது. மாநாட்டு அறைகூவலின் அடிப்படையில் மதுரை புறநகர் மற்றும் தென் மாவட்டங்கள் சார்பாக 500க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பெண்கள் எஸ்.பி. அலுவலகத்தை முற்றுகையிட்டு கைதாகினர். அப்போராட்டத்திற்குப் பிறகும் குற்றவாளி கைது செய்யப்படாத நிலையில், அகில இந்திய புரவலர் பிருந்தா காரத், பொதும்பு கிராமத்திற்கு நேரடியாகச் சென்று குழந்தைகளின் பெற்றோரை சந்தித்து, மாவட்ட காவல்துறை கண்காணிப்பாளருடன் தொடர்பு கொண்டு காவல்துறையின் விசாரணைமுறை மற்றும் குற்றவாளி கைது செய்யப்படாதது குறித்து தலையீடு செய்ய வலியுறுத்தினார். அதன் பின்பு தான் குற்றவாளி கைது செய்யப்பட்டார்.

இவ்வழக்கில் மன உறுதியுடன் விசாரணையில் வந்து சாட்சி சொன்ன குழந்தைகளுக்கும், பல்வேறு மிரட்டல்களை எதிர்கொண்டு உறுதியுடன் வழக்கைச் சந்தித்த குழந்தைகளின் பெற்றோர்களுக்கும் ஜனநாயக மாதர் சங்க மாநிலக்குழு சார்பாக பாராட்டுக்களையும், வாழ்த்துக்களையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம்.

A 23-year-old law student took revenge on a godman who had allegedly sexually abused her for years, by almost cutting off his penis late on Friday night.

The 54-year-old swami, who has links with the Hindu Aikya Vedi, an umbrella organisation of Sangh Parivar outfits, has been charged with rape and offences under the law against sexual abuse of children. The woman, who has not been charged, has been hailed as “courageous” by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The accused swami, Gangesanantha Teerthapadar, is associated with Panmana Chattambil Swamikal Asramam, established in Kollam by a disciple of the 19th century social reformer Chattambi Swamikal. He has been a preacher at several temples in Kerala, and has been at the forefront of agitations by the Hindu Aikya Vedi.

He was revered by the upper-caste Hindu Nair family to which the woman belonged, and had free access to their home in Thiruvananthapuram.

Police said the incident occurred around 11.30 pm on Friday, when the swami was at the woman’s home. As he prepared to abuse her, she attacked him with a knife that she had kept ready. She then ran out of the house, taking her mobile phone. Once outside, she rang the police, who rushed across and took the bleeding swami to the medical college hospital.

The swami, who was known as Sree Hari in his poorvashram, was admitted to the hospital with his penis almost severed. He told the police he had inflicted the injury upon himself, “as it (the organ) was of no use for him”.

A medical college official said, “He was admitted with 90 per cent of the penis severed. The penis could not be sutured. Doctors of urology and plastic surgery departments subjected him to emergency surgery to control bleeding and enable him to pass urine. His condition is stable now.”

Police charged the swami with rape and under various sections of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, as the exploitation had began when the victim was still a minor. On Saturday evening, police recorded the swami’s arrest. He will be produced before a court once he is discharged from hospital.

(CNN)A 19-year-old Sudanese woman has been sentenced to death for fatally stabbing the man she was forced to marry, who she says raped her as his relatives held her down.

The case of Noura Hussein has shone a spotlight on the issues of forced marriage and marital rape in Sudan, where the legal age of marriage is only 10 and marital rape is legal.

Hussein's supporters filled the courtroom in Omdurman, Sudan, and overflowed into the hall outside as the judge announced the death penalty on Thursday. Her husband's family refused an option to pardon her and rejected financial compensation, requesting that she be executed instead.

Hussein's legal team has 15 days to appeal.

"She's still in complete shock after her sentencing today," Dr. Adil Mohamed Al-Imam, one of Hussein's lawyers, told CNN. Al-Imam donated his services after Hussein's original lawyer withdrew from the case. He added that Hussein was abandoned not only by the law, but also by her family.

The harrowing details of her case have set social media and WhatsApp ablaze in Sudan. And in recent days it has captured international attention with the hashtags #JusticeforNoura and #SaveNoura. Thousands of people have shared a change.org petition.

Forced to marry at 15, Hussein ran away from home and sought refuge with her aunt for three years. She was tricked into returning by her father, who handed her over to her husband's family.

After Hussein refused to consummate the marriage, her husband's relatives held her down while he raped her. "His brother and two cousins tried to reason with her, when she refused she was slapped and ordered into the room. One held her chest and head, the others held her legs," Al-Imam told CNN.

A day later her husband tried to rape her again, and she stabbed him to death. When she went to her parents for support, they turned her in to the police.

Al-Imam said the case has challenged societal expectations in Sudan that wives should submit to their husbands.

Amnesty International's Sudan researcher, Ahmed Elzobier, said it was the first time a case of this nature had attracted such attention. "Marital rape happens in Sudan often and people don't talk about it," he said. Hussein's case had changed that, he said.

Shahd Hamza, 20, was among those who came to support Hussein in court, after hearing about her case in a group chat on WhatsApp. She said that while the rape and harassment of women had long been an issue in Sudan, a case like Hussein's had never gone viral.

"People shy away from this conversation in Sudan, it's a taboo," she said. "I hope that people will now feel comfortable to speak about to their parents and grandparents about it."

Nahid Gabralla, director of SEEMA, a nongovernmental organization working with victims and survivors of gender-based violence in the capital, Khartoum, was also among the crowd of supporters in court on Thursday. SEEMA has been campaigning in support of Hussein.

"In my work I've seen other cases like this. The suffering of Sudanese women is happening all the time," Gabralla said.

"The case of Noura is different. She stood for her rights."

தியேட்டர் கண்காணிப்பாளர் இதை தற்செயலாக சிசிடிவி காட்சியில் பார்த்து அதிர்ந்து போய் அந்த சிசிடிவி வீடியோவை குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு அதிகாரிகளிடம் கடந்த மாதம் 28 ஆம் தேதி வழங்கியுள்ளார். குழந்தை பாதுகாப்பு அதிகாரிகள் காவல் நிலையத்தில் இதை காண்பித்து அந்த தொழில் அதிபர் மீது வழக்கு பதிவு செய்யுமாறு கூறியுள்ளார்.

ஆனால் பேபி என்ற லோகல் எஸ் ஐ தொழில் அதிபருக்கு எதிராக எந்த வழக்கும் பதிவு செய்யவில்லை. நேற்று இந்த இந்த சிசிடிவி காட்சிகள் கேரள ஊடகங்களில் வெளியானதை தொடர்ந்தே தற்போது இந்த சம்பவம் வெளியே தெரியவந்துள்ளது.

இதை தொடர்ந்து நேற்று தான் அந்த பெண் மற்றும் தொழில் அதிபரை கேரள போலிசார் கைது செய்துள்ளனர்.

புகார் அளித்தும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்காத எஸ் ஐ பேபி யை உடனடியாக சஸ்பெண்ட் செய்து காவல் துறை தலைமை அதிகாரி உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார்.

மேலும் இவர் மீதும் போஸ்கோ சட்டத்தின் கீழ் வழக்கும் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அந்த தொழில் அதிபரின் இடத்தில் தான் இந்த பெண் குடியிருப்பதாகவும் அவர்கள் தியேட்டருக்கு வரும் போது விலை உயர்ந்த காரில் வந்ததாகவும் கூறப்படுகின்றது.

அந்த தொழில் அதிபர் பெயர் மைதீன் குட்டி எனவும் அவன் பாலக்காடு திரித்தலா பகுதியை சேர்ந்தவன் என்பதும் தெரியவந்துள்ளது.

வசதியான தனது கள்ளக்காதலனுக்கு தனது 10 வயது மகளை இறையாக்கிய தாயை சமூக வலைதளங்களில் பலர் காரி துப்பி வருகின்றனர். பெற்ற தாயிடமே பெண் குழந்தைகளுக்கு பாதுகாப்பு இல்லை என்பது வேதனையிலும் வேதனை!

பொது இடமான தியேட்டரிலேயே சிறுமிக்கு இந்த அளவிற்கு நடந்துள்ளபோது வீட்டில் என்ன மாறியான துன்புறுத்தல்களுக்கு ஆளாகியிருப்பார் என்பது குறித்து போலிசார் அந்த சிறுமியை மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்த்து பரிசோதித்து வருகின்றனர்.

திருவனந்தபுரம்: பத்தனம்திட்டா அருகே ஆலயத்தில் பாவமன்னிப்பு கேட்க வந்த இளம்பெண்ணை மிரட்டி 5 பாதிரியார்கள் சேர்ந்து பலாத்காரம் செய்த  சம்பவம் கேரளாவில் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளது. கேரளாவின் மல்லப்பள்ளி அருகே உள்ள ஆனிக்காடு பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்தவர் ராய். இவரது மனைவி  ெமர்சி (பெயர்கள் மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளன). இவர்களுக்கு 2 குழந்தைகள் உள்ளன. ராய் துபாயில் பணிபுரிந்து வந்தார். இந்நிலையில், கடந்த 4  மாதங்களுக்கு முன் மெர்சியின் கிரெடிட் கார்டில் இருந்து அடுத்தடுத்து ₹50 ஆயிரத்திற்கு மேல் பணம் எடுத்து செலவழிக்கப்பட்டது. இது தொடர்பான  எஸ்எம்எஸ் தகவல் ராயின் செல்போனுக்கு சென்றது. இதனால் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த அவர் மனைவிக்கு போன் செய்து விவரத்தை கேட்டார். 

அப்போது அவர், ஒரு பாதிரியார் தன்னை மிரட்டி எர்ணாகுளத்தில் உள்ள ஒரு 5 நட்சத்திர ஓட்டலுக்கு வரவழைத்து  தன்னை பலாத்காரம்  செய்ததாகவும் கூறினார். பின்னர் ஓட்டலுக்கான பணத்தை தன்னிடமே செலுத்துவதற்கு வற்புறுத்தினார். இதனால் பணத்தை செலவழித்ததாக  திடுக்கிடும் தகவலை கணவனிடம் கூறினார். இதை கேட்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த ராய் உடனடியாக ஊருக்கு புறப்பட்டு வந்தார். பின்னர் மனைவியிடம்  விசாரித்தபோது, மேலும் 4 பாதிரியார்கள் அவரை பலாத்காரம் செய்துள்ள தகவலை தெரிவித்தார். இதை கேட்டு ராய் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தார். அவரிடம்  ெமர்சி தனக்கு ேநர்ந்த சோகக்கதைகளை அழுதுகொண்டே கூறினார்.

திருமணத்திற்கு முன்பு பக்கத்து வீட்டில் வசித்து வந்த மெர்சியின் தூரத்து உறவினரான ஒரு பாதிரியார் அவரை பலமுறை பலாத்காரம் செய்துள்ளார்.  இந்நிலையில் மெர்சிக்கு ராயுடன் திருமணம் நடந்தது. அடுத்த வருடம் மெர்சிக்கு ஒரு பெண் குழந்தை பிறந்தது. குழந்தை பிறந்த பின்னர் பழைய  நினைவுகள் மெர்சியை வாட்டியது. இதையடுத்து ஒரு நாள் மெர்சி, மலங்கரை ஆர்த்தோடக்ஸ் சபை கட்டுப்பாட்டில் உள்ள மல்லப்பள்ளி சர்ச்சுக்கு  சென்று அங்கிருந்த பாதிரியாரிடம், முன்பு நடந்த சம்பவத்தை கூறி பாவமன்னிப்பு வேண்டினார். இதை கேட்ட பாதிரியார்  தனது ஆசைக்கு  இணக்காவிட்டால் கணவரிடம் கூறுவேன் என்று மெர்சியை மிரட்டி பலாத்காரம் செய்து அதை வீடியோவில் படம் எடுத்தார். அந்த காட்சிகளை அதே  சபையை சேர்ந்த மேலும் 4 பாதிரியார்களுக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்துள்ளார். 

அவர்களும் மெர்சியை மிரட்டி பல முறை பலாத்காரம் செய்துள்ளனர். இந்த விவரத்தை கேட்ட ராய் கத்தோலிக்க சபை பிஷப்புக்கு தெரிவித்தார்.   இதையடுத்து அந்த 5 பாதிரியாரும் உடனடியாக சஸ்பெண்ட் செய்யப்பட்டனர். இதற்கிடையே ராய் மனைவியை விவாகரத்து செய்ய தீர்மானித்தார்.   இதற்கிடையே மலங்கரை ஆர்த்தோடக்ஸ் சபை சார்பில் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் 'இளம்பெண்ணை 5 பாதிரியார்கள் பலாத்காரம் செய்ததாக புகார்  வந்துள்ளது. இது தொடர்பாக விசாரணை நடத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது. குற்றம் நடந்தது நிரூபணமானால் அவர்கள் மீது கடும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும்'  என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது

Kerala Nun Accuses Bishop of Rape, Files Police Complaint

A 44-year-old Catholic nun from Kerala has approached the state police accusing a bishop of rape. This, after she alleged that her complaint to the church went unheard.

The nun, who is now posted in the Kottayam district of Kerala, has accused Bishop Franco Mullakkal of Jalandhar diocese of sexually abusing her since 2014.

Vaikkom Deputy SP, who is currently investigating the case, told TNM that the bishop has been booked under Section 376 of the IPC (punishment for rape).

The police also said that the bishop has filed a complaint with the SP, alleging that the nun has raised allegations against him as a means of taking revenge.

Speaking to a television channel on Saturday, the nun said that she will pursue the case legally. She said that she would not speak further about it and wait for the criminal case to take its due course.

This new case has come to light even as the Malankara Orthodox Church is mired in a similar controversy. The husband of a woman has accused five priests of various dioceses of sexually abusing his wife multiple times after blackmailing her with her confessional secret. The Crime Branch is currently investigating the case.

Kerala Church ‘Sex for Silence’ Row: NCW Asks for Police Report

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognisance of the incident in Kerala where five priests have been suspended over allegations of sexually exploiting a married woman.

According to the Commission, there have been reports saying that the woman's husband was heard, in a video, saying that he has been facing pressure from the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church authorities to withdraw the complaint.

The incident, which happened in Kottayam-headquartered Malankara Orthodox Church, was reported after the victim's husband complaint about it to the secretary of the Church Biju Oommen.

According to Oommen, the five priests have been suspended and a probe has been ordered.

Earlier, speaking to The News Minute, the church said the onus was on the woman to file a police complaint in this regard.

The woman’s husband has raised serious allegations against the priests of various dioceses. He had said that his wife’s confessional secret was used by the priests to blackmail her into giving sexual favours. However, neither the Thiruvalla native nor his wife has filed a police complaint so far.

Asked why the church has not approached the police, a top church official said that it is the woman who should approach the police and file a complaint.

“What is stopping the woman from going to the police? Why should we approach the police when we have taken cognisance of the complaint and formed an internal committee to inquire? Suppose this was a case involving a minor, we would have approached the police ourselves. But in this case, the woman is an adult and she can seek the help of police if she wants to,” the official said.

On Saturday evening, a 99-year-old retired government school headmaster was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a child by the Avadi all-women police station in Chennai. Inspector Shubha Rani acted immediately following a tip-off that he behaved inappropriately with a 10-year-old girl. There was no complaint but the officer went straight to the housing quarters to investigate and was appalled by the facts that emerged. 

99-year-old Parasuraman, an affluent man in the neighbourhood, had rented out 10 houses. Amongst the tenants were Raja* and Chitra*, an auto driver and homemaker by profession respectively. Recently, their daughter Radha* complained of discomfort in her abdomen and the couple's attempt to treat it failed. That is when, the young child told them about the horrors she was facing at the hand of the 'owner thaatha' (owner grandfather). 

"He has targeted this little girl because her mother actually works part time for him. Parasuraman's wife is bed ridden and Chitra helps take care of her, so he pays her. This dependence on him for money, made him arrogant," says the inspector. 

Parasuraman has a car shed in the property he owns where he allegedly sits on an armchair surrounded by children in the vicinity. The structure has cloth around it to hide what is happening inside. 

The investigating official also alleges that the child was taken inside, and it here that he allegedly sodomised and touched her inappropriately.

But what’s disturbing is that this may not be the first time the 99-year-old has allegedly sexually assaulted a child. 

"Another nine-year-old has also admitted that he sexually assaulted her within the same car shed," says the inspector. "We have further been told that one family left the quarters because he misbehaved with their child. If this is how he behaves at this age, we shudder to think what he did as the headmaster of a school," she alleges. 

Family threatened

To make matters worse, Parasuraman's children, when they caught wind of their father's actions allegedly attempted to threaten Radha's family. 

"They tried to come to some form of settlement. When the family was unwilling, they tried to evict them. They are all clearly aware of their father's crimes.  It was in fact one of the old man's relatives who gave us the tip off," says the inspector. 

Parasuraman, however, continues to deny the crime. He has told the police that the children are lying and that he was merely 'playing with them'. He has however been remanded to judicial custody and booked under the POCSO Act. 

"These children used to call him grandfather and the parents didn't even suspect that he would be such a pervert," says the inspector, adding, "But just at look what he has done."

“A Catholic nun has alleged that he (the bishop) had sex – natural and unnatural – with her 13 times between 2014 and 2016. Thirteen is believed to be an unlucky number. Recently, we stayed in a cottage at a resort in the Havelock Island in Andaman and Nicobar. We noticed that after cottage number 12, there was 12A, followed by 14. There was no cottage numbered 13.”

The sentence is bizarre, no doubt. But this is the exact line that a Catholic Church magazine has used to discredit the rape allegation that a nun made against a bishop.

‘India Currents’ is a magazine run under the patronage of the Capuchin of Krist Jyoti province of North India, and on their issue dated July 9, they published a piece titled ‘Villains as Victims’ – in response to the multiple allegations of rape filed against the Jalandhar diocese bishop, and several priests of the Orthodox church.

Ironically, the issue in which this was printed dealt with the subject of women’s safety and talked about how India was recently ranked as the most dangerous country in the world for women.

A portrait of the bishop as a man above reproach

The piece was written by a person called AJ Philip, and attempts to not just play down the two recent cases and whitewash the role of the accused priests, but also questions the victims’ testimonies, and squarely blames them for the rapes.

The piece begins with an unnecessary anecdote, where Philip describes a jovial encounter with the Jalandhar priest and how he helped the author do a memorable story on a soon-to-be canonised priest.

“You may wonder why I narrated these anecdotes,” he writes. “I did so as a disclaimer, because the bishop is now in the news for reasons which do not do him or the church proud.”

Umm, so there should be no investigation against a man accused of raping a nun on 13 occasions, because he helped the author write a story?

Sure.

Victim blaming, 101

But the bizarre piece, unfortunately, does not end there. Nor is it the only cringeworthy thing the author says. Throughout the piece, Philip deliberately mixes up allegations of rape with some flawed idea of consensual sex.

Take for instance his description of the sex for silence row that rocked the Kerala Orthodox church. Philip continuously uses the word rape inside single quotes – and the result is a clear attempt to discredit the allegation.

“She is a high school teacher, who deals with hundreds of students everyday ... True, when she began to be ‘raped’ she was not a teacher. She was only 16,” he says.

“In the ordinary circumstances, when such a terrible thing as ‘rape’ happens, is it not usual for the girl to tell her parents, especially her mother? Is it true that the man or boy who ‘raped’ her at age 16 was her own boyfriend who, a few years later, became a priest? Can that be called “rape” by a priest?” he asks.

As his tone becomes more incredulous, Philip says, “In the Orthodox Church, an adult person has to confess his/her sins to the priest at least once a year. The story of the woman in question is that she told the priest about her ‘sin’ and it encouraged him to ‘rape’ her. She kept on confessing and the priests kept on ‘raping’ her! … At no point did this school teacher feel that she was being led up the garden path by some sex-hungry priests.”

Either AJ Philip is not familiar with the power dynamics women are forced to navigate in their everyday lives, or he’s in deliberate denial for his #SavethePriests campaign.

Complaining against authority figures - social, religious or political - requires immense bravery and, more often than not, women are implicitly and explicitly told it’s in their ‘best interest’ to not complain.

And nowhere in the article does Philip speak of the systemic oppression that was probably meted out to the woman, to ensure her silence in this case.

‘Vultures as vulnerables?’

On the second case that has rocked Kerala, the author writes, “To return to the bishop, a Catholic nun has alleged that he had sex – natural and unnatural – with her 13 times between 2014 and 2016. Assuming that what she says is true, can a person who reached the status of Mother General in her religious order be ‘raped’ 13 times? Did she complain after the first, second, third, fourth and fifth rapes?”

Clearly, Philip hasn’t been informed that rapes are usually expressions of power and, no matter how highly ranked a woman is in her field, she is not automatically spared from gender-based violence.

The accused bishop, incidentally, filed a case against the nun claiming that she and her family were harassing him. On this, the author writes, “Once a person becomes a nun or a priest, he or she leaves the family to become part of the larger family of the church. But in this case, the family members are with her through thick and thin. If the bishop had really ‘raped’ her, he would have been vulnerable and would not have dared to take action against her.”

‘Vulnerable’, yes. Of course there are no other words to describe a man in a position of power, accused of raping a woman lower down the hierarchy, 13 times in two years.

He ends his ‘argument’ by saying, “While the police will, hopefully, gather evidence about the 13 rapes which may or may not have happened, the point to be noted is that sex is never a one-sided affair.”

Because, “Billions of men and women copulate every day for reasons I do not have to explain. This has been happening right from the days of Adam and Eve. But a modern-day Eve finds it convenient to claim that she was raped when she is caught in the act.”

Repeat performance

This isn’t the first time the church has tried justifying the conduct of its members in the most bizarre ways. When a minor was allegedly raped by a priest and was impregnated by him in 2017, the Kerala Catholic Bishops' Council said that this case is an ‘exception’ among the 9033 catholic priests in Kerala.

The council then puts the blame for sexual violence and child sexual abuse squarely on ‘consumerism’.

“Consumerism is indeed a situation affecting everyone in the world and priests are also in the world. It is in celibacy and in virginity the crisis become apparent first, then it will become a crisis of fidelity in marriage with extramarital and premarital sex. Women are presented as commodity both in media and in advertisements and all commodities as marketed with girls and women where human body is dehumanized,” the council declared.

Hearing-Impaired Teen Allegedly Dragged From Bathroom, Raped And Murdered

CHENNAI: 

A 19-year-old woman who was hearing impaired was allegedly raped and murdered in Tamil Nadu's Sivaganga district yesterday. Her body was found about half a kilometre away from her home.

The teenager was reportedly dragged from a thatched shed outside her home when she was bathing there. The girl was alone at home at that time.

Police suspect she was beaten with an iron road on her head. Police sources said the teen had severe injuries on her head and that going by the nature of injuries on her body, there are clear signs of rape.

The woman's parents, who are daily wage labourers, were not at home when the incident took place . Her brother and sister too were away.

Police are yet to make any arrests in the case.

காவலாளிகள் உள்பட 6 பேர் கைது

சென்னை, 

சென்னை அயனாவரத்தில் உள்ள பிரபல அடுக்குமாடி குடியிருப்பில் சுமார் 350 வீடுகள் உள்ளன. அந்த குடியிருப்பில் வசிக்கும் 11 வயதான சிறுமி சென்னையில் உள்ள பள்ளி ஒன்றில் 7-ம் வகுப்பு படிக்கிறார்.

காது கேட்கும் திறன் குறைபாடு உள்ள அந்த மாணவி, தினந்தோறும் பஸ்சில் ஏறி பள்ளிக்கு சென்று வருவார். அந்த மாடியில் உள்ள தனது வீட்டுக்கும், பள்ளிக்கும் செல்லும்போது குடியிருப்பில் உள்ள லிப்டை பயன்படுத்துவார். ‘லிப்ட்’டை இயக்கும் ஊழியர்களோடு அந்த சிறுமிக்கு பழக்கம் ஏற்பட்டு உள்ளது. அனைவரிடமும் வெகுளித்தனமாக அந்த சிறுமி பேசுவாராம்.

பாலியல் பலாத்காரம்

இதை பயன்படுத்தி ‘லிப்ட்’டை இயக்கும் ஊழியர்கள் 4 பேர் முதலில் அந்த சிறுமியை பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்துள்ளனர். ‘விஷயத்தை வெளியில் சொன்னால் உன்னை தீர்த்துக்கட்டிவிடுவோம்’, என்று கத்தியை காட்டி மிரட்டியதால் அந்த சிறுமியும் விஷயத்தை வெளியே சொல்ல பயந்து அமைதியாக இருந்துவிட்டதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.

முதலில் 4 காம கொடூரன்களின் இச்சைக்கு பலியான அந்த சிறுமி, அடுத்தடுத்து அடுக்குமாடி குடியிருப்பில் காவல் பணிக்கு வரும் மேலும் 5 காவலாளிகளின் காமப்பசிக்கு இரையாக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கிறாள். அக்குடியிருப்பின் மொட்டை மாடி பகுதியிலும், ‘லிப்ட்’டுக்குள் வைத்தும் இந்த காம கொடூரர்கள் அந்த சிறுமியை தங்கள் பாலியல் இச்சைக்கு பயன்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார்கள். அத்தோடு விடாமல் அக்குடியிருப்புக்கு பல்வேறு வேலைகளுக்காக வந்த பிளம்பர்கள், எலெக்ட்ரீசியன்கள் என்று மொத்தம் 16 பேர் கடந்த 6 மாதங்களாக ஒவ்வொருவராக தங்களுக்கு தேவைப்படும் நேரத்தில் அந்த சிறுமியை பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்து உள்ளனர்.

16 பேர் பிடிபட்டனர்

இந்த விஷயம் அரசல்புரசலாக அச்சிறுமியின் பெற்றோருக்கு தெரியவந்தது. சிறுமியிடம் அவர்கள் விசாரித்தபோது அழுதுகொண்டே தன்னை பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்தவர்கள் குறித்து தெரிவித்தார். அந்த சிறுமி கூறிய முதல் தகவலில், ஒரு காவலாளியின் பெயரையும், ‘லிப்ட்’ இயக்கும் ஊழியர்கள் இருவரின் பெயரையும் மட்டுமே தெரிவித்தார். அவர்கள் மீது அந்த சிறுமியின் தந்தை அயனாவரம் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் புகார் கொடுத்தார்.

உடனடியாக அந்த 3 காம கொடூரன்களையும் அயனாவரம் போலீசார் பிடித்து விசாரித்தனர். அவர்களை விசாரித்தபோது தான், மொத்தம் 16 பேர் அந்த சிறுமியை சீரழித்த திடுக்கிடும் தகவல் வெளியானது. இதைத்தொடர்ந்து 13 பேரையும் அயனாவரம் போலீசார் அதிரடியாக பிடித்தனர்.

6 பேர் கைது

பிடிபட்ட 16 பேரில் நேற்று இரவு முதல் கட்டமாக 6 பேர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டிருப்பதாக போலீசார் தெரிவித்தனர்.

கைதானவர்கள் பெயர் விவரம் வருமாறு:-

1. சுரேஷ் (32) பிளம்பர், 2. அபிஷேக் (23) காவலாளி, 3. சுகுமாரன்(60) காவலாளி, 4. ரவிக்குமார்(64) லிப்ட் ஊழியர், 5. இரால் பிரகாஷ்(40) காவலாளி, 6. ராஜசேகர்(40) வீட்டு வேலைக்காரர்.

மீதம் உள்ள 10 பேரிடமும் தொடர்ந்து விசாரணை நடந்து வருவதாக போலீசார் தெரிவித்தனர்.

மாஜிஸ்திரேட்டு விசாரணை

இதைத்தொடர்ந்து பிடிபட்ட 16 பேர் மீது கடும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க போலீஸ் கமிஷனர் ஏ.கே.விஸ்வநாதன் உத்தரவிட்டார். கூடுதல் கமிஷனர் சாரங்கன், இணை கமிஷனர் அன்பு, துணை கமிஷனர் ராஜேந்திரன் ஆகியோரின் நேரடி மேற்பார்வையில் இந்த வழக்கை வேப்பேரி அனைத்து மகளிர் போலீஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் விஜய சந்திரிகா விசாரித்தார். ‘போக்சோ’ சட்டத்தின்கீழ் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.

பாதிக்கப்பட்ட சிறுமிக்கு கீழ்ப்பாக்கம் அரசு ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை செய்யப்பட்டது. சிறுமியிடம் மாஜிஸ்திரேட்டு விசாரணையும் நேற்று மாலை நடந்தது. சிறுமி கூறிய தகவல்களை மாஜிஸ்திரேட்டு பதிவு செய்தார். இந்த மாபாதக செயலில் ஈடுபட்ட 16 பேரிடமும் வேப்பேரி போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் வைத்து விசாரணை நடக்கிறது. மாஜிஸ்திரேட்டு அறிக்கை சமர்ப்பித்த பிறகு, அவர்கள் மீது கைது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என்று உயர் போலீஸ் அதிகாரி ஒருவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

சகோதரி

கற்பழிக்கப்பட்ட சிறுமியின் மூத்த சகோதரி வெளிமாநிலத்தில் பட்டப்படிப்பு படித்து வருகிறார். அவர் நேற்று முன்தினம் சென்னை வந்தார். அவரிடம் தான் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட சிறுமி தனக்கு நேர்ந்த கொடுமை குறித்து தகவல் சொல்லி அழுது இருக்கிறார்.

அதன் பிறகு தான் சிறுமியின் பெற்றோருக்கு இந்த சம்பவம் தெரியவர அவர்கள் போலீசில் புகார் கூறி உள்ளனர்.

சென்னையில் 11 வயதுச் சிறுமி ஒருவரை பல மாதங்களாக பாலியல் ரீதியாக துன்புறுத்திய 17 பேரை நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜர்படுத்தியபோது

குற்றம்சாட்டப்பட்ட 17 பேரும் இன்று (செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை) பிற்பகல் 1.30 மணியளவில் சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்ற வளாகத்தில் உள்ள மஹிளா 

நீதிமன்றத்தில் நீதிபதி மஞ்சுளா முன்பாக ஆஜர்படுத்தப்பட்டனர். அவர்களை 31ஆம் தேதிவரை நீதிமன்றக் காவலில் வைக்க நீதிபதி உத்தரவிட்டார். 

3.30 மணியளவில் நீதிமன்ற நடைமுறைகள் நிறைவடைந்து அவர்கள் வெளியில் அழைத்துவரப்பட்டனர்.

படிகள் மூலம் மூன்றாவது தளத்திலிருந்து தரைத்தளத்திற்கு அழைத்துவரம்போது அங்கு கூடியிருந்த வழக்கறிஞர்களும் சட்டக் கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள் 

சிலரும் இந்த 17 பேரையும் கடுமையாகத் தாக்கினர். இதில் நான்கு பேர் மிக மோசமாகத் தாக்கப்பட்டனர்.

இதையடுத்து கீழே இருந்த காவலர்கள் மேலே ஓடிவந்து 17 பேரையும் மீட்டு வேறொரு அறையில் அடைத்தனர். 

இப்போது பாதுகாப்பிற்காக அங்கே கூடுதல் காவலர்கள் குவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்ற வளாகத்தில் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் பேசிய உயர் நீதிமன்ற வழக்கறிஞர் சங்கத் தலைவர் மோகன கிருஷ்ணன் 

குற்றம்சாட்டப்பட்டவர்கள் சார்பில் எந்த வழக்கறிஞரும் ஆஜராகப் போவதில்லையென தெரிவித்தார். 

இலவச சட்ட உதவி மையம் மூலமாகவும் யாரும் குற்றம்சாட்டப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக ஆஜராகப் போவதில்லையென்றும் 

தமிழகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள வழக்கறிஞர்கள் சங்கங்களுக்கு இதனை எழுத்து மூலமாகத் தெரிவித்து ஆதரவு கோரப்போவதாகவும் கூறியிருக்கிறார்.

17 வயது அருந்ததியர் சமூகத்தை சேர்ந்த சிறுமியை 14 பேர் கொண்ட கும்பல் பாலியல் வன்புணர்ச்சி செய்து கொடுமை செய்து உள்ளனர்.வன்கொடுமையில் ஈடுபட்ட குற்றவாளிகள் ஜாமீன் கேட்டு நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு சென்றபோது அந்த சிறுமி நீதிபதியின் காலில் வீழ்ந்து இவர்களுக்கு ஜாமீன் கொடுக்காதீர்கள்.எங்களை கொன்று விடுவார்கள் என்று கதறியபோது நீதிபதி கலங்கிப்போய்விட்டார்.ஜாமீன் மறுக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது.இன்று அந்த சிறுமியும் அவரது தாயாரும் பார்க்க வந்து இருந்தனர்.தண்டனை வாங்கி கொடுத்து விடுங்கள் சார்..அது போதும் வேறு எதுவும் தேவை இல்லை என்று சொன்னபோது மனம் கனமாக இருந்தது.அவர்களது மகன் - படிப்பினை நிறுத்திவிட்டு வேலைக்கு செல்லுகிறான்.இரண்டு குழந்தைகளும் படிக்க வேண்டும்.பள்ளிக்கூடத்தில் சேர்த்து விடுதியில் தங்க வைத்து படிக்கச் வைக்கிறேன் என்று கூறி இருக்கிறேன்.அந்த குழந்தைக்கு கவுன்சிலிங் தேவை.இந்த கருத்தியல் அக்கப்போரைவிட இவர்களுக்கான மறுவாழ்வுதான் இங்கு தேவை.அதை நாம்தான் செய்ய வேண்டும்.செய்வோம்.

Retired Justice Kemal Pasha lashed out at the police and the government for not taking action against the Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal, accused of rape of a nun. He was visiting the venue of a protest taken out by five nuns of the Missionaries of Jesus, near the Kerala High Court, seeking justice for their colleague, the rape survivor.

“I saw an announcement made by the DGP that they have reached the final stage of the investigation. Isn’t he ashamed to say this? It is a rape case. The accused should be presented in court. Let the prosecution present proof. But that’s not happening. What you see is a give and take policy between the police and the accused. They think that nuns are not capable of reacting,” Kemal Pasha said.

He went on to express solidarity with the nun, appreciating her for coming forward and reacting. “Many such sisters are suffering in our society. This poor sister being called a victim in this case is a guide to all of them. We should consider her tears as drops of blood falling on the society. Her cry is the cry of all women. We should step forward and protect them. That should be the responsibility of men. I am not used to political speeches. But I have not seen such obscenity in any other investigation,” he said.

Kemal Pasha said that the only person left for ‘them’ to question is the Pope now. “They would use that as the last excuse to delay the process. That they want to consult the Pope. But they wouldn’t be able to get an audience with him. But they should realise that the people are seeing all this. The government should realise it. All political parties should speak against this injustice. Such dirty people do not have politics or caste or religion. This is not an allegation against the Church. The Church and the bishop are not the same. Any other individual in his place would have been arrested. He should be too, and presented before the court. Let him appeal for bail then. Our legal system should not stoop so low. I am expressing my solidarity with the hurt sister and let this be a fight for women’s survival. Let the society know their value and their power to react.”

Indian national molests woman asleep next to him on SIA flight, pleads for leniency as it’s his first time flying

An Indian national has been jailed after he was found guilty of molesting a woman by touching her breast while she was sleeping, reported Yahoo News. 

On Thursday, Oct. 18, the 23-year-old man named Ravichandran Vignesh pleaded guilty to one count of molest and was sentenced to jail for six months in Singapore.

He said he was “drunk and high and tempted” to touch her breast.

The man and the 31-year-old woman were both on a Singapore Airlines flight from Bengaluru, India to Bali, Indonesia, with a stop in Singapore in between.

The incident happened on Oct. 1 at about 4am.

“Do not know the laws of Singapore”

Ravichandran, who owns a pet shop in India, said in mitigation through an interpreter that it was his first time taking a flight.

According to Yahoo News, he said he was from a poor family, and asked to be allowed to return to India and promised he would not do it again:

“I do not know the laws of Singapore. I have not done this back home in India before.

I will not touch any woman again. I will not travel overseas again. I will not come back to Singapore again.”

 

Felt someone touching her while she was asleep

The woman was sleeping after having her meal at 3.30am Singapore time.

She felt someone touching her right breast at about 4am and woke up immediately.

Upon seeing that the hand belonged to the man next to her, she shouted at him.

Ravichandran then retracted his hand and pretended to sleep.

The woman requested to change seats and was moved to an empty seat at the back.

She later lodged a police report with the Airport Police Division the following day at around 10.58am, after sending a feedback to SIA and an email to the Deputy Commander of the Airport Police Division.

Ravichandran was later arrested on Oct. 4 when he was flying back from Bali and transiting via Singapore.

அயோத்தியில், கோயிலுக்கு வந்த பெண்ணை உள்ளேயே அடைத்து வைத்து, பலமுறை பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைக்கு உள்ளாக்கிய கோர சம்பவம் நடந்துள்ளது.

இந்த கொடூரச் செயலில் ஈடுபட்ட தலைமை அர்ச்சகர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநிலத்திலுள்ள அயோத்தி, கோயில் நகரம் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. அந்த வகையில், கடந்த டிசம்பர் 24-ஆம் தேதி இங்குள்ள கோயில் ஒன்றுக்கு, வாரணாசியைச் சேர்ந்த 30 வயது இளம்பெண் வழிபாட்டுக்கு வந்துள்ளார்.

அப்போது அங்குள்ள தலைமை அர்ச்சகர், அந்த பெண்ணிடம் ஆன்மிகம் தொடர்பாக பேசிக்கொண்டே கோயிலில் இருந்த அறைக்குள் அழைத்துச் சென்று அழைத்து சென்று பாலியல் வன்கொடுமை நிகழ்த்தியும் 

மேலும் ஒருவாரமாக அந்த பெண்ணை அங்கேயே வைத்து வலுக்கட்டாயமாக பலமுறை பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைக்கு உள்ளாக்கி இருக்கிறார்.

கடும் சித்ரவதையை அனுபவித்து வந்த அந்த இளம்பெண், செவ்வாய்க்கிழமையன்று கோயிலில் இருந்து தப்பி, காவல்நிலையத்தில் புகார் அளித்துள்ளார்.

அவரிடம் வாக்குமூலம் பெற்ற போலிசார் பின்னர் , மருத்துவ பரிசோதனைகளை நடத்தி அவரின் கூற்றை ஊர்ஜிதம் படுத்திய பின்னர் போலீசார் தலைமை அர்ச்சகரை தற்போது கைது செய்துள்ளனர். இதனால் அந்த பகுதியில் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது .

மனைவியைத் துண்டு துண்டாக வெட்டி வீசியது ஏன்? - போலீஸை பதறவைத்த சினிமா இயக்குநரின் வாக்குமூலம்

சென்னை பெருங்குடி குப்பை கிடங்கில் கடந்த 21-ம் தேதி இரண்டு கால்கள், ஒரு கை ஆகியவை துண்டிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் கிடந்தன. இதுகுறித்து தகவலறிந்ததும் பள்ளிக்கரணை போலீஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் ஆல்பின்ராஜ் தலைமையிலான போலீஸார் சம்பவ இடத்துக்குச் சென்று கை, கால்களை கைப்பற்றி குரோம்பேட்டை அரசு மருத்துவமனைக்கு அனுப்பிவைத்தனர். துண்டிக்கப்பட்ட கை, கால்கள் ஒரு பெண்ணின் உடலிருந்து வெட்டி எடுக்கப்பட்டதாக போலீஸார் தெரிவித்தார். கையில் வளையலும் காலில் மெட்டியும் இருந்தது. மேலும் அதில் சிவன், பார்வதி படம் பச்சை குத்தப்பட்டிருந்தது. இதனால் அந்தப் பெண் யார் என்பதைக் கண்டறிய துணை கமிஷனர் முத்துசாமி, உதவி கமிஷனர் கெங்கைராஜ் மேற்பார்வையில் தனிப்படை அமைக்கப்பட்டது. தனிப்படை போலீஸார் தமிழகம் மற்றும் இந்தியா முழுவதும் மாயமான பெண்கள் குறித்த விவரங்கள் அடிப்படையில் விசாரணை நடத்தினர். 

அதே நேரத்தில் கோடம்பாக்கம் பகுதியிலிருந்து வந்த குப்பையில்தான் உடல் பாகங்கள் இருந்ததால் அந்தப்பகுதியில் உள்ள குப்பை தொட்டியில் அருகில் உள்ள சிசிடிவி கேமரா பதிவுகளை ஆய்வு செய்தனர். மேலும், கைரேகையில் உள்ள பதிவு மூலம் ஆதார் விவரங்களை சேகரிக்கவும் முயற்சி நடந்தன. இருப்பினும் இரண்டு வாரங்களுக்கு மேலாக இந்த வழக்கில் துப்பு துலங்கப்படாமல் இருந்தது. 

 சினிமா இயக்குநரால் கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட சந்தியா 

இந்தநிலையில் தனிப்படை போலீஸாருக்கு ஒரு முக்கிய தகவல் கிடைத்தது. துண்டிக்கப்பட்ட கை, கால்கள் சென்னை ஜாபர்கான் பேட்டையைச் சேர்ந்த பெண் என்று தெரியவந்தது. மேலும் அவரின் சொந்த ஊர் நாகர்கோவில் என்றும் தெரியவந்தது. இதனால் அந்தத் தகவலின் அடிப்படையில் போலீஸார் விசாரணை நடத்தத் தொடங்கினர். அப்போது திடுக்கிடும் தகவல்கள் வெளியாகின. 

இதுகுறித்து போலீஸார் கூறுகையில், ``குப்பைக் கிடங்கில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட கை, கால்களுக்குரிய பெண்ணின் பெயர் சந்தியா (38), அவரின் கணவர் பெயர் பாலகிருஷ்ணன். இவர்களுக்கு இரண்டு குழந்தைகள் உள்ளனர். பாலகிருஷ்ணன், குறும்படம் மற்றும் சினிமாவில் இயக்குநராக உள்ளார். சந்தியாவும் சினிமாவில் நடிக்க முயற்சிகள் செய்துவந்துள்ளார்.  இந்தநிலையில் கணவன், மனைவிக்கு இடையே அடிக்கடி தகராறு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. இதனால் ஆத்திரமடைந்த பாலகிருஷ்ணன் மனைவியைக் கொலை செய்துள்ளார். பிறகு அவரின் உடலில் உள்ள பாகங்களைக் கத்தியால் வெட்டியுள்ளார். கை, இரண்டு கால்களை கே.கே. நகர் பகுதியில் உள்ள குப்பைத்தொட்டியில் 25 கிலோ அரிசி பையில் வைத்து வீசியுள்ளார். மீதமுள்ள உடல்பாகங்களை ஜாபர்கான்பேட்டை அருகில் உள்ள ஆற்றில் வீசியதாக பாலகிருஷ்ணன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். அதன்பேரில் சந்தியாவின் சடலத்தை கூவம் ஆற்றில் தேடிவருகிறோம். 

 சினிமா இயக்குநரால் கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட சந்தியா 

இதற்கிடையில் கணவன், மனைவிக்கு இடையே கருத்துவேறுபாடு காரணமாக இருவரும் விவாகரத்து கேட்டுள்ளதாக எங்களுக்கு தகவல் கிடைத்துள்ளது. அதுதொடர்பாக பாலகிருஷ்ணனிடம் விசாரணை நடத்திவருகிறோம். அவர் கூறிய தகவல்களை வாக்குமூலமாகப் பதிவு செய்துள்ளோம். மனைவியைக் கொலை செய்து அவரின் உடல்பாகங்களைக் கூறுபோட்டு வீசிய பாலகிருஷ்ணனை கைது செய்துள்ளோம்" என்றனர். 

இதுகுறித்து போலீஸ் உயரதிகாரி ஒருவர் கூறுகையில், ``குப்பைக் கிடங்கிலிருந்து கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட கை, கால்களை வைத்து ஒருவரை அடையாளம் காண்பது சுலபமானதல்ல. ஆதார் மூலம் தகவல்களைப் பெற்றுவிடலாம் என்ற நம்பிக்கை இருந்தது. இருப்பினும் 

எங்களின் ஒவ்வொரு முயற்சியும் தோல்வியில் முடிந்தன. ஆந்திரா, கர்நாடகா மாநிலங்களுக்குச் சென்று தனிப்படையினர் விசாரித்தனர். இந்தச்சமயத்தில்தான் எங்களுக்கு சந்தியா மாயமான தகவல் கிடைத்தது. சந்தியாவின் உறவினர்கள் கொடுத்த தகவல்களும் குப்பைக் கிடங்கில் கிடந்த கை, கால்களில் இருந்த தடயங்களும் ஒத்துப்போனது.

இதனால் கை, கால்களுக்குச் சொந்தமானவர் சந்தியா என்பதை உறுதி செய்தோம். அவரை யார் கொலை செய்தார்கள் என்று விசாரணை நடத்தினோம். முதலில் எங்களின் சந்தேகப் பார்வை பாலகிருஷ்ணன் மீது விழுந்தது. அவருக்கே தெரியாமல் அவரின் நடவடிக்கைகளை ரகசியமாக கண்காணித்தோம். சந்தியா குறித்து அவரிடம் விசாரித்தபோது முதலில் அவரும் எங்களுடன் மனைவியைத் தேடுவதைப் போல நடித்தார். ஆனால், எங்களின் கிடுக்குப்பிடி விசாரணையில் அவர் சிக்கிக் கொண்டார். சந்தியாவின் நடவடிக்கைகள் பாலகிருஷ்ணனுக்கு ஆத்திரத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. அவரின் செல்பாடுகள் குறித்து பலமுறை கண்டித்தும் அவர் கேட்கவில்லை. இதனால்தான் சந்தியாவைக் கொலை செய்ய அவர் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளார். ஆத்திரத்தில் அவரைக் கொலை செய்தபிறகு அவரின் உடல்பாகங்களை கூறு போட்டதாக எங்களிடம் பாலகிருஷ்ணன் தெரிவித்தார்" என்றார்.

பாலகிருஷ்ணனின் சொந்த ஊர் தூத்துக்குடி டூவிபுரம். பாட்டாளி மக்கள் கட்சியில் தூத்துக்குடி மத்திய மாவட்டச் செயலாளராக இருந்துள்ளார். அதன்பிறகுதான் சினிமா ஆசையில் சென்னை வந்துள்ளார். அவர் `காதல் இலவசம்' என்ற படத்தை பல ஆண்டுகளாக எடுத்தார். அந்தப்படத்தில் உள்ள காட்சிகள் அனைத்தும் தூத்துக்குடியில் எடுக்கப்பட்டவை. மேலும், தூத்துக்குடியைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் பலர் இந்தப் படத்தில் நடித்துள்ளனர். சினிமாவில் பெரிய ஆளாக சென்னை சென்றவர் இப்படி சர்ச்சையில் சிக்கியிருக்கிறார் என்கின்றனர் அவருக்கு வேண்டப்பட்டவர்கள்.

மனைவியைக் கொன்று அவரின் உடல்பாகங்களை கூறுபோட்டு வீசிய கொடூர கணவன் பாலகிருஷ்ணன், `காதல் இலவசம்' என்ற படத்தை இயக்கியுள்ளார். அவரிடம் தொடர்ந்து போலீஸார் விசாரித்துவருகின்றனர். இந்தச் சம்பவம் சென்னையில் மட்டுமல்லாமல் தமிழகத்தையே அதிர்ச்சிக்குள்ளாக்கியுள்ளது.

குழந்தையை இழந்த தாயையாவது அமரச்செய்து ஆறுதல் கூறி விசாரணையை செய்திருக்கலாம். இந்தக் காட்சியைக் காண்பதற்கு வெறுப்பாக இருக்கிறது.

கோவையில் 7 வயது தலித் சிறுமி கொடூரமான முறையில் பாலியல் வன்புணர்ச்சி செய்யப்பட்டு கொலை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட சிறுமியின் தாயார் மற்றும் உறவினர்களை இன்று சந்தித்து களஆய்வு மேற்கொண்டோம். 

கடந்த 25.03.2019 அன்று மாலை 6.00 மணியளவில் காணமல் போன சிறுமி நேற்று 26.03.2019 அன்று காலை 6.30 மணியளவில் உதடு, முகம் என்று உடலின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் கடிபட்ட காயங்களுடனும், நகக் கீறலுடனும் குதறப்பட்டு பொட்டலம் போன்று சடலமாக கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். என் குழந்தைய கொடூரமாக சித்திரவதை செய்து கொலை செய்துவிட்டனர். என் குழந்தை அந்த கும்பலிடம் என்ன பாடுபட்டிருக்கும் என்று கலங்கிய அந்த சிறுமியின் தாயாருக்கு எப்படி ஆறுதல் சொல்வது என்று தெரியாமல் தவித்து நின்றேன். கோவை மண்டலத்தை பெண்கள் மீதான வன்கொடுமை அதிகம் நடக்கும் மண்டலமாக அரசு அறிவிக்க வேண்டும். தொடர்ந்து களஆய்வில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறோம். விரிவான ஆய்வறிக்கை விரைவில் வெளியிடுகிறோம்.
