As the title says, I'm going to show you how to fix the problem when starting the Minecraft launcher (only for 1.7.2 though) since there's been a lot of threads about the launcher not starting or downloading the resources

.

1. Create a Mojang account at minecraft.net or here: https://minecraft.net/store/minecraft

2. Download the real Minecraft launcher here: https://minecraft.net/download

3. Open up the real Minecraft launcher and log in with your Mojang account details that you've created (email address and password).

4. Click on Edit Profile

5. Click on Use Latest Version, click on release 1.7.2 and then click on Save Profile

6. Click on Play Demo and wait for the real Minecraft launcher to download all the 1.7.2 resources

7. When the real Minecraft launcher finishes downloading the 1.7.2 resources, you should be at the Mincraft menu. Now, click on Quit Game

Since you've download all of the 1.7.2 resources from the real Minecraft launcher, the Mineshafter launcher now can load Minecraft using the 1.7.2 resources downloaded by the real Minecraft launcher. Now, download the Mineshafter launcher from here: http://mineshafter.info/downloads. If you have already downloaded the Mineshafter launcher skip to step 9.

9. Open the Mineshafter launcher and log in with your MINESHAFTER ACCOUNT DETAILS (USERNAME AND PASSWORD). If you haven't created a Mineshafter account, go here: http://mineshafter.info/

10. Click on Play

11. If your Minecraft menu looks like the picture below, that means you have successfully fixed the problem! Now you can play 1.7.2 Minecraft without any troubles starting the game.

Reminder: I was able to fix this problem only on Windows but I haven't tried it on Mac, so I'm not sure whether the guide/fix works on Mac or not.

Which image uploading service are you using? I recommend you use either TinyPic (use the direct layout link) or Puu.sh. 

(Do this when you have set your skin using either the TinyPic picture link or the Puu.sh link)

Open the Mineshafter launcher, log out and log in, Click on Play, make a new world, press F5 two times (on your keyboard), press F1 and you should see your skin. Press to return the crosshair, item slots, health bar and hunger bar and press F5 once to return to first-person.

I'm bumping the guide thread so the people who have problems downloading Minecraft resources or starting game, can read this. Yet even if I bump it, people still post problems about downloading Minecraft resources or starting game. So, I have to keep bumping it, until Download13 pins this thread.

I can just post them the link to this fix thread like I usually did with my old fix thread which is pinned now. When Minecraft was still around the 1.6 update, I posted a fix thread (the old one I mentioned) for people who couldn't get the new launcher to launch/work, then it got pinned and the amount people posting threads about the new launcher not launching/working reduced. Explains why my old fix thread has nearly 18000 views. Just because people still post their problems, doesn't mean I should stop bumping. If I stopped, this fix thread would get buried and no one would know how to fix the problem.

Can you copy and send me the the error log/text from the Development Console tab? Also, try deleting the .minecraft from C:\Users\*name*\AppData\Roaming and then do all of the instructions again from my solution thread.

Follow the exact same instructions from my guide except in the Edit Profile, change the release to 1.3.11. Also, make sure you have the latest version of Java.

Can you elaborate on that problem? So the error occurred after you logged in? Or did it occur after you logged in and then clicked on the Play button? Did you carefully follow the instructions from my guide? Make sure you have the latest version of Java.

I think it's the email one, but you can't join servers like Nexus or Mineplex because they're PREMIUM servers. You can only join CRACKED servers. Below are some recommended cracked servers:
- CraftRealms: mc.CraftRealms.com

- CosmicCraft: mc.cosmicmc.com

- RomeCraft: play.talentcraft.net

- FutureRealms: play.futurerealms.nl

You log in to the Mineshafter launcher. Also, how did you get hacked? Did you accidentally post your password of your Mineshafter, Minecraft or email account on to a server or something?

when i open mineshafter it keeps on loading and when its done loading it starts loading again. This makes it so that i cannot make my username or choose my skin.  I've tried from 3 different computers and 3 different wi-fi connections. Is there any way you can help.

The server is probably is down. Is your internet connection fast or slow? Can you disconnect and reconnect your wifi?

Can you join another server? Can you delete the .minecraft folder and follow all of the instructions of my guide? You should be able to join 1.7.9 servers because on the 29th of May, Download13 said:

I got the new mineshafter client, but it's not working. When I start it up, it takes a long time to load. Then when I click "Play Game"(or something) the bar never goes up (or right) and minecraft never starts up. I already tried loading the demo version on the real minecraft, and it still won't work. plz help.

You sure? Delete the .minecraft folder and follow my instructions again. Make you sure you download the latest version of Mineshafter.
