[Mifos-users] Version 19.12 Pentaho Reports

We have upgraded from Mifos 18.03, all pentaho reports were working well. upon upgrade to version 19.12, the upgrade was successful but all pentaho reports are not showing. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any ideas to fix this problem?

Hi Walter,

On July 20th we have updated the latest WAR file with the fix for the Pentaho report issue which is available here

If you have taken the latest war file only, and if your issue is with only some reports not showing up, please provide such report details, we will investigate and come back.

Dear Team,

This is good news, we will also test version 19.12 again, as we left it when it could not get us pentaho reports.

However, currently on version 18.03, we have a challenge related to creation of custom pentaho reports detailed below:

1. when existing pentaho reports are edited using the report designer,such edited report stop working when taken to the pentaho .prpt directory of mifosx. Such report returns blank even if its just font/ font size that was changed

2. Creation of new pentaho custom reports show blank as well, even though test on the pentaho report designer connected to the db directly displays the report well. When such report is exported as .prpt, added to pentaho report directory, then we created new report with type set as pentaho and with permission to be available on UI. The report still come as blank.

Please what could be wrong, what are we missing out?

What version of Pentaho are you using? I believe Mifos works with Pentagon version 3.18.

Version 5 will definitely not work. Been down that route before. I will revert with the version I downloaded. And it was Francis that gave me the version then. Good fellow Francis in Sierra Leone. Hoping to get management approval for a Mifos deploy then I'd definitely work with him

Yes Please, Matanda Samuel.

We strongly recommend you use Pentaho  version 3.9.1-GA to edit those reports to prevent compatibility issues.
