Hi, I've been recently seeing this message every time I run mrt. Nothing really changes, I simply run mrt and each time it tries to update the packages (or actually updates the packages - not sure).

Any idea how to debug this? That's particularly super annoying on the train when wifi is shit and I can't get anything done... :(

Here's an example:

$ make run
mrt run --settings settings-local.json

what does make run do? is it touching smart.json?

Anyway, once you've updated via mrt. run your project with meteor. No need to use mrt.

Haha umm, actually I also noticed this, and just switched to running with 'meteor', like Arunoda suggested.  We should probably get to the bottom of this though, but with such an easy workaround, I never looked into it further.  I did just 'sudo npm install -g meteorite' again to get the latest version, and it doesn't seem to do this anymore, but I haven't tested extensively.

Thanks for the advice guys.

`make run` runs `mrt run --settings settings-local.json` (it's in the line below)

Hi Tom,
Yes, I just updated meteorite and it's still doing this :(

mrt --version
Meteorite version 0.7.1

Every time. In many different projects.
I'll give this a more thorough test later with a bootstraped  project.

What does the first part of smart.lock look like in comparison to smart.json ? What’s different?

I can confirm the exact same behaviour.

I use mrt instead of meteor to run the project (I'm running against the shark branch therefore I need to use mrt)

actually when I tried now (after updating meteorite last night) it seems to be fixed, at least from this project's point of view. It did install one update, but then at the next start it didn't - cool.

So maybe it was a bug in the previous version.

I'll ping if I stat seeing this again.

Hm, sorry I did not follow the whole thread.

Indeed, I also did an update by sudo -H npm install -g meteorite (if
there is a better way to just do an upgrade, please let me know) and now
I'm not getting verbose meteorite is doing its thing messages any more.
the app immediately starts up.
