I just buy a new Pi 3 b+ just a few day ago and I also have one "Current Cost NetSmart Wireless Gateway"

did you think it can works?

Maybe. I think the XML could be compatible. 

Just try it out. If it is not working please start the grabber manual and send me the XML

The XML serial data is not available from the Gateway RJ45 connector as standard. 

Solder a wire between the pin marked RX (one of three in the middle of the circuit board) and the outer-most pin of the black RJ45 connector. XML will now be available using the Current Cost data cable.

Would you have a pic of that ? are you saying we need to pull the 'Current Cost Netsmart Wireless gateway' apart to solder the wire ?

Hi,

Here you go. Remove the rubber feet, remove 5 screws. No need to remove the board.
