The California Medical Association uses your api to update our members' legislative districts any time there is a change of address on their account. It just came to my attention that the data is no longer accurate. We spot checked a couple dozen individuals, and in many instanced the districts were out of date. I am assuming that your source data was never changed to reflect the new districts post redistricting??

Can someone confirm? And if so, are there plans to get that data current? (If not, we will have to seek a different data source, which I obviously would rather not do!!)

Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

Hi Katherine,

Can you please send a few examples? What district we return and what you expect?

Thanks,
Ben

Can I email you? Our our IT folks did a few screen shots of the expected vs received districts.

Hi Kathrine,

This is Mario, from Mobile Commons.  You're correct and we're aware of issues in about 10 states due to legal or legislative delays to post 2010 census updates.  We're working on an update to ensure correct data is provided.  It will probably take us about 2-3 weeks to get that out.  I'll drop you a note when we have completed the updates.

Thanks!

-Mario

Hi Mario,

Just hoping you might have an update for me on this. I have a meeting with our grassroots advocacy folks this afternoon and I'm sure they're going to ask if I have an ETA on this.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Katherine,

While we're working to wrap up the bulk of the technical work in the next few days, it may not be until the end of next week until it's all live and public.

Hi Mario,

Your friendly CMA pest. Wondering if you had an updated ETA. We're gearing up to a high use period with our grassroots system and folks are chomping at the bit over here waiting for those updated districts!

Thanks in advance for an update.

Hi Mario,

Can you tell me if that california district work has been completed and pushed live?

Hi Katherine!

The work has been completed, but we're still working on making it live on the public server.  I anticipate it will be live sometime mid week.

Thanks for checking in!
