Dear all,

You will be happy to know that we have initiated our very own Newsletter project. The newsletter, named as "Coordinates 24,90"  representing our country coordinates, is attached for you all to enjoy!  We hope that you'll have a glimpse of what is happening in our mapping space and learn something more about mapping. 

I must mention that a dedicated team of mappers and RERs led by Tanzil has made it possible within just 3/4 days' notice. Special thanks to the team!

We all expect constructive discussions on the current issue and expectations for the next issue(s).

ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশের প্রথম নিউজলেটার সফলভাবে প্রকাশিত হওয়ায় সবাইকে অভিনন্দন।

এই নিউজলেটার বাংলাদেশের ম্যাপিং এ একটি মাইলফলক এবং বিশ্বের অন্যন্য দেশের কাছে একটা মডেল হয়ে থাকবে।

সবাইকে নিউজলেটারের ব্যাপারে মন্তব্য প্রকাশের জন্য অনুরোধ থাকবে। গঠনমূলক আলোচনা এটির উন্নয়নে আরো ভাল ভুমিকা রাখবে।

I have read it already like 5-6 times over and over again, I feel proud seeing our work being recognized and put-together into such a beautiful piece of art! Insha Allah, this newsletter will serve as an inspiration to many mappers. I have been asked the question several times  "আপনার এইটা করে কী হয় ? এত সময় ব্যায়, আপনি না করলে অন্য কেউ করবে, and you don't even get paid". My reply was always that if I don't get started, others will have no one to follow. Alhamdulillah, there are nice sections in the Newsletter, novice mappers who know nothing about Map Maker can get themselves acquainted with the term and how we use it for our country in the "Introduction to GMM" section.

Overall, it is a very nice piece of work. Congratulations to all for being able to produce something like this on behalf of our country.

RER গণের প্রতি অনুরোধ আপনারা এই নিউজলেটারের একটা কপি আপনার RER গাইডকে শুভেচ্ছা উপহার দিন। 

এতে একদিকে যেমন আমাদের কর্মকান্ডের উপরে তাদের ইম্প্রেশন ভাল হবে, তেমনি বাংলাদেশের উপর গুগলের ভরসা বাড়বে।

অভিষেক কে আলমগীর/জামান ভাই কপি পাঠালে ভাল হয়। আলমগীর ভাই RER/Advocate ফোরামে পোষ্ট দেবার পরও সেটি হয়ত অভিষেকের নজরে নাও আসতে পারে। তাই পরিচিত সকল গুগল কর্মকর্তাদের ইমেইলে কিছু নিউজলেটার পাঠানোর প্রস্তাব রইল।

বাংলাদেশের নিউজলেটারের ব্যাপারে ভারতীয় অ্যাডভোকেট বিমিদি কিরণ, বিষ্ময় প্রকাশ করেছেন। নিউজলেটার দেখে তিনি মুগ্ধ এবং এমন ক্রিয়েটিভ আইডিয়া বাংলাদেশের জন্য একটি মাইলফলক বলে তিনি মন্তব্য করেন। বাংলাদেশের এই জাগরণে তিনি বাংলাদেশের ম্যাপিং এ অংশ নিতে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেন! রোড যোগ করার প্রয়োজেন হলে তিনি আমাদের হয়ে কাজ করতে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছেন।

To all the Bangladeshi Cartographers,

Congratulations on achieving your first big milestone towards the journey of creating better and impressive map of your Country. You guys are just amazing. I always believe in the logic of Quality:Quantity. Lesser the Quantity, better the Quality. Proved again by your efforts. It is so wonderful to see such a small bunch of passionate people creating wonders. I certainly learnt a lot a things looking at your newsletter. I feel there is definitely something for everyone to learn from your efforts. To be humble and modest!

I love,

1. Bilingual approach of the Newsletter. Giving importance to both Local users and Global users.

2. Mapping completion strategy.

3. Top mappers section.

4. Simple yet effective content of the Newsletter.

Suggestions: 

1. Next time when you people publish the Newsletter, may be you can remove the 'Tips' section since those will over crowd your content page, you can rather fill them up on your Mapping site. 

2. The background of the Newsletter can be made even more lighter, just a hint!

3. The Newsletter ended rather suddenly. May be the last finishing section needed a bit more cushioning. 

I am glad that you people have taken up such an initiative, given the number of active map users and the amount of Internet penetration available for you, a hats-off for your Mapping Community!

Keep doing the good work. My best wishes to all your fourth coming mapping projects.
